no, what is it? I'm interested in going to atlanta and am still looking for things to do saturday and sunday before the game.

Us commoners don't get tickets dropped in our lap ... o_O
That guy in the article does as a club seat holder. If I could afford club seats in Gillette I'd be going to all the Patriots Super Bowls too -- they're guaranteed to receive tickets by the team.

Man..what a venue..ATLANTA! yeah baby...real great venue for the rich NFL fan. Just think, an entire day touring the Delta hub..and there's the recommendations from actual people who live there...here's one

I moved here last year (regrettably). This town absolutely blows. I hate Atlanta because 1) traffic 2) aggressive panhandlers 3) barely anything fun to do (aquarium you say? Spend 30 minutes fighting ghetto public school kids for a chance to see a whale shark that's going to croak anyway? No thanks) 4) food sucks. But enough about me. Why do YOU hate this town?

Look, anybody with a pulse that is NOT a SCUMBAGDELL knows it should be a three city rotation for the Super Bowl....Nawlins, Miami, LA.Give Turdell a chance and he'll have it in the friggin' Phillipines by 2025.

I have two memories of Atlanta from when I was there on business about 15 years ago: (1) I had a delicious seafood omelet for breakfast at a restaurant and (2) I was racially harrassed being the only caucasian on a city bus going to my destination.

For events on Sat- there is a Pats rally downtown apparently. There is also a free party at the Hudson Grille in Sandy Springs from 12-3 pm. Troy Brown, Jerod Mayo, and others will be broadcasting live from there.
The same Hudson Grille is also doing a Super Bowl party, $40 for buffet, no tix sold in advance though.

I’m not buying it. I’ve been told with absolute certainty by Patters on the old political forum here that only white people are racist.

Not true, I can vouch for the fact from personal experience. BTW, I've never seen Patters post about football -- is he a Patriots fan?

I've researched buying Super Bowl tickets since the 2001 season and have never come across higher demand/higher price for one side of the field vs. the other but perhaps that's a new thing this year. I could maybe see it making sense for the first few rows directly behind a team's bench but not beyond that.
I agree. Never heard of this before. It's not a high school game where you sit on your team's sideline. I know there is definite pricing differences from end zone (cheaper) vs. sideline (more expensive the closer you are to midfield). But I've never heard of cheaper pricing on one sideline vs. the opposite or ever cared about which side of the field I've sat on.

Joker, I didn't know you had a brother in Atlanta! LOL I'm still going there for the weekend!

Maybe in some form or fashion. I think he was more of a Tom Brady fan than a Patriots fan for... uh.... obvious reasons. But he hasn’t been here since the PoFo collapsed so that should tell you all you need to know. He snapped and went to the one I set up when it was still up and running to post for the sole reason that he didn’t like the way I was running the forum (even though before I decided that it was too much of a hassle, it was successful).

It gets even better they don't even receive them they just get the chance to purchase them at face value. Every year or so I tool around with the Premium seat sales people. In my research this year they split the club seating into three levels 1, 2, and 3.

Level one cost $9,000 per seat per year gets you seats between the 40 and 50-yard line for every game at Gillette. It also gives you the right to purchase two (2) Super Bowl tickets per two (2) Club seats owned.

Level two cost $6,500 per seat per year gets you seats between the 30 and 40-yard line for every game at Gillette. It also gives you the right to purchase two (2) Super Bowl tickets per four (4) Club seats owned.

Level two cost $5,500 per seat per year gets you seats between the 10 and 30-yard line for every game at Gillette. It also gives you the right to purchase two (2) Super Bowl tickets per four (4) Club seats owned.

Also to mention they lock you into a 10-year contract when purchasing the ticket.

for the moment is planned from h 12,55 to 2 pm

Dang! My flight lands only at 5.30 pm and so I will miss it.

Anything planned after 8pm on Sat?

btw - my hotel is 30 miles away. Plan to park the rental car on the Marta subway that is closest to me and take the train in.

Don't worry, Super Bowl weekend weather is going to be quite nice after all. Sat is 58 and sunny, Sun is 60 and cloudy. Definitely no snow.

There are a few sports bars right next to Benz, including Hudson Grille and STATS.

Awesome news!!

And thanks a ton for the info on those bars. :)

Delighted that the Hudson Grille is located close by, but it looks like these places are going to be extremely crowded. We might come there by 11 am on Sunday. :)

When? I have been sick as the ticket prices have gone up in the last 48 hours rather than down. Still holding out for mine...

I believe it was the same last two years. There were lots of tickets bought during the weekend, that's why the prices went up.

Last year for example there were 2600 tickets avalailable (I'm using TickPick data) on Friday (one week prior the game) and on Tuesday the number dropped to 1100. But then on Thursday there were again around 2000 tickets for sale.

This year 2000 on Friday and 1000 on Monday, and today it's 1500. And the prices begin to decrease again.

I bought mine SB51 ticket on Friday (game week) while having the connection flight in London. ) Maybe will do the same thing this time as well, cause I'm again having the connection flight on Friday, but this time in Istanbul. ) Or maybe on Saturday, we'll see how the tickets situation develops.

Yeah, as I'm travelling alone and if someone is looking for a pair to buy the ticket, please let me know. Cause there are more sections available if you buy a pair of tickets and price for the pair is usually cheaper than for the single one.

Ummm, what unit of measure are you using, and where are you seeing these prices? Because if I can get a ticket for less then 2000 US dollars I am going!

The tickets have dropped below $3,000 in the last few days and I am hoping they get down to about $2,500 before I will buy. I don't see them going to $2,000 or below, but we can dream!

Also, he's talking about the number of tickets available, not the price (unfortunately).
