Even though LoMo ran well in the playoffs they still missed Sammy Morris. He always got yardage. Never danced.

They gave up avg of 41pts per game against playoff teams...you know the ones you need to beat in order to get to the SB. They gave up the most first downs in the entire league 417 (browns 2nd last at 377)

With an offense like that if the def was even half assed they should have been in the SB, That said that game shouldnt have been close esp with TB int and failed 4th down (I personally thought we should taken the 3 esp on the road.) Based on the game stats they shouldnt have even been in it let alone take us to OT.

Agreed...Ian has put a lot of time into this forum getting it off the ground years ago...probably has some help nowadays...but he should feel a great sense of accomplishment.

What's sad about that thread is that the attacks continue well after the game ended. I give any forum a pass for going nuts during and right after the game. They lost in overtime. It wasn't a blowout and Mahomes' performance in the 2nd half was epic.

Those guys seem to have lost all perspective that this was their first trip to the AFCC in 26 years with essentially a rookie QB. They lost due to the ideal coin law: The Patriots win the coin toss, Brady gets the ball first, over and out.

I think losing Morris was one of the underrated/overlooked losses that year.

You guys just flat out dominated both sides of the ball in the first half at least. It was more even in the 2nd. But that's why my Chiefs lost. And that's not the refs fault. It's not their job to beat the Patriots it was ours and we didn't get it done.
