Seems like some of you guys don't want to critique him at all, because we just beat him and thus you feel as though it would be diminishing the Patriots victory if we say anything bad about him. I don't see it that way. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive.

No. We don't want to make a general, comprehensive statement about his mental makeup based on one small act that last a few seconds and about which we can't, and never will, have any insight into what was on his mind.

Is this a joke thread?
I've seen the title all day, but...

I hate Chef fans as much as the next guy, but attacking this kid (without even knowing him personally), is kind of a stretch...
If he is half as invested as TB, he is hurting BAD!!!!

IDK, it just seems so Chiefs fans-ish.

Sorry.

I login and see 60 dislikes.

Is this a Patsfans record? So many dislikes its reddit tier

Who cares? I was looking forward to no longer hearing about this loser once we beat KC.

Mahomes does that after every home game.

And your point is? I never stated it was wrong of Mahomes to high five fans after a home game. I'm talking about doing it after losing THE season-ender, in a game you were favored to win, losing to the same team for the second time in the same season.

You would think the fact that he high fives fans at home games regularly actually buys him a mulligan in this case. "Sorry guys, this one's a bitter heartbreaker and I'm taking it to the tunnel with my head down. I'll indulge your fan adulation some other time." The fans, unless they're jerks, would be totally understanding of that.

Simply doing something for the fans because you feel obligated after a loss like that should be the last thing that enters your mind.

If you're Mahomes, you have a great opportunity here, as such a young kid with such talent. You can establish yourself as a LEADER and stake out a persona, engineer a culture that permeates through the Chiefs organization and in turn, their fan base. You start by saying "IT'S NOT OKAY TO LOSE TO THE GD PATRIOTS TWICE IN ONE YEAR!" You don't high five fans right after as if to say "yeah, so we came up a lil' short (again), but thanks for coming out, you guys are greeeaat!"

The premise of this thread is silly. Mahomes clearly looks like he is going to be very good for a long time. Furthermore, he gets it done. It was not his fault that Tom Brady can lead his team to a TD at the end of the game.....Mahomes did what he had to do.

Mahomes needs to prove he can do it again next year, but high hiving fans after the game is an issue for some? That is just ridiculous.

If our culture that permeates is that we are adults and not a bunch of ****s, then I'm ok with that. I'd rather have the face of the franchise be like that andcheer for a good person that competes their ass off than a **** who thinks pouting after as loss somehow makes a difference. He just gave the greatest team in the history of the NFL all they can handle and if not for a guy lined up in the neutral zone he would most certainly be MVP and playing in the Super Bowl in his first season as a starter. You needn't worry about his fire. I promise it's there.

This is a separate debate, about his physical skills, but I wouldn't be the first to argue that he's not going to be able to do what he's out there doing now by the time he reaches age 30. Also, he's had one very good season in which he really accomplished nothing more than winning one playoff game. Let's allow him to actually do something worth writing home about before we talk about him ruling the NFL once TB12 hangs 'em up. There are so many other great QBs out there who could run with that mantle. It's one season, people.

You honestly believe Ford negated that pick by lining up offside rather than causing it by giving Brady a free play? Do you really understand so little about football that you don't know Brady saw that flag before he threw that ball? Go back and look at it. Brady looks right at the official tossing the flag at the snap. Personally I was surprised he didn't take a deeper shot.

That flag wasn't thrown until Brady was dropped back and looking to the opposite side of the field. There is no way he knew that was a free down. It was not a case where he jumped offsides, he was lined up in the neutral zone. That flag could have been illegal formation on the offense or several other things. And he threw to a guy that was behind the line of scrimmage. That was not a free shot. Not even close.

Stop cluttering up my Patrick Mahomes will never be great thread with this rubbish.

:) Sorry. I got caught up in the stupidity of thinking that was a free down shot.

Man now I am trying to think of something I could say to get that many dislikes.

Probably 'dislike this or I'll post a picture of my gooch'

But still, this thread is impressive.

WTF is this greasybooby moron doing on this board running his moron mouth? Hey numbnuts, what you know about football wouldn't fit on the head of a pin..which coincidentally, is your exact hat size .Try LISTENING some time to the players like...uh, gee whiz, I don't know...Tom Brady? He stupidly refuted YOUR azzhat insult, on Monday's session on WEEI. He saw the ref throw the flag and knew he had a free play. YOU are a goddyamed troll coming in here and running your hayseed mouth.

What was the play call? Was he supposed to take a knee, but decided to go for it? For F sake, he threw a pass to a wide open receiver at the line of scrimmage. Watch the film.

are you brain dead or what? THERE IS AUDIO TAPE OF BRADY REFUTING YOUR PUNK ASSERTION YOU TROLL! Ban this azzole, THIS is why he's here. Punk.

Thats easy.

Try starting a thread with, "The Patriots Should Have Kept Jimmy Garoppolo and Here is Why"

O.P. should have thought twice, and maybe a third, fourth and fifth time, before posting this thread.

Yeah but you're trying to change the discussion TO a reasonable point, that "there is a chance Pat Mahomes won't be the face of the league for the next ten years" that most people wouldn't disagree with because we can't predict the future, FROM one of the worst OPs in PatsFans history that "high fiving fans demonstrates the lack of a killer instinct and therefore he doesn't understand what it takes to be great".

Those are two different discussions. One is fine, one is awful. We're here to crush you for the awful one.
