Pre Super Bowl Thread- On to the Rams

What a tool.

I went into yesterday really liking Andy Reid, and feeling extremely sympathetic towards the him given that he lost his son. All that said, his words following yesterday's game re: officiating combined with his combativeness with the media is causing me to sour on him.

More credit needs to go to Flores and the creativity he's brought to our pass rush. It's been a long time since we've consistently brought this type of pressure against offenses. Not since Mangini was the defensive caller and of course when Crennel was here.

What's even more impressive is that our front 7 is the least talented in a long time and yet he's masked all that with his scheme and playcalling.

His playcalling has been on par with McDaniels.

It's a shame we're gonna lose him only after one season.
It's funny because everyone seems to be giving credit to BB for those schemes. There is no or hardly any mention of Flores anywhere that I've seen.

The coordinators go largely unnoticed in New England, and for good reason. McDaniels had himself a game calling the offense, but we aren't hearing about that either.

Some 130+ plays called, between offense and defense. How many were calls that can fairly be called "bad", as opposed to just being different than some would have preferred? I can think of a couple on both sides of the ball, but not many at all. Avoiding putting the players in hugely disadvantaged positions was a big part of that win.

He's always been kind of a prick.

He's not himself when he's hungry. Someone should have given him a Snickers.

Agreed. I was just referring to him being in KC and honoring Lamar Hunt a little bit. He usually treats it like an asbestos rag.
Yep. Bill and Kraft were incredibly acknowledging of where they were.

I was more or less commenting on the actual trophy. It looks like a doo-dad on an entertainment center.

Before the re-alignment in '02 (when the Houston Texans entered) - the Rams, Saints, Falcons, Niners, and Panthers were in the old NFCW. So I ended up watching a lot of the Rams games when Vermeil/Martz were the HCs.

Will admit, they were a lot of fun to watch from '99 - '01. It was as if they were guaranteed to score every time they had the ball. I remember a friend of mine who hated football, just LOVED that one Rams football game he ended up watching back then.

I elect this to be the Patriots new theme song and should run out of the tunnel as a team with this song on.

Yeah, that '99 Rams team was bad a**. They were doing to teams what the 2007 Pats did. I told my friend, a 9ers fan, with all the additions the Rams made in the off season that they were going to be a sleeper team. Anybody that doesn't remember, go back and look at who they signed via free agency and draft. It was very similar to the Pats off season in 2001. I thought at best they were going to a playoff team, but I never thought they were going to rampage their way to the Super Bowl.

Apparently his gripe with this offside is that the ref didn't warn Dee Ford. I know DB's and wideouts look to the sideline refs to ask them if they're good. But I don't think I've seen a ref ever warn a down lineman he's offside.

If Andy wants the ref not to call the offside on that play and just warn him after the play not to do it again? Screw that Andy. It was black and white.
