Passing of the tourch.

Really? 200 million? Bwhahahhahahhahahahah.

Figures.

Report: Mahomes could land $200M extension in 2020

Yep, another team that can’t wait to make its QB the highest paid in the league, despite that very action cutting off the funds for the QB’s supporting cast. Just like Luck, Rodgers and Manning. Then they’ll make excuses for years and scream about how it isn’t fair that he doesn’t have a defense or good enough protection, etc. Chiefs appear to be another dumb, simpleton-thinking team that’s about to ruin a good thing.

Daunte Culpepper who was in the league SIX years before he threw more than 6 TDs? Seriously?

Luck was never what he was touted to be, but he threw for 23 TDs in each of his first two years before he managed to throw 40 in his third. And despite his faults, he isn't close to being a journeyman.

I didn't guarantee Mahomes would end up in the HoF I was taking issue with the notion he might suddenly turn into a journeyman. He won't.

Tell you what. In 3-4 years if he is still lighting it up you can hit me with an I TOLD YOU SO

and then I'll go 'but i never said that he wouldn't be a...'

and you can interrupt me with an

The KGB vill vait for noone!

you don't know brady if you think that is a sign of him declining. sheesh.

So if you look at the thread I started I pretty much called this game right on with a 34-31 Pats win. Obviously looking at the game it could of been a toss up either way coming down to that last minute and then a coin flip. But to the Pats credit they won and are off to the super bowl.

BUT in watching the game live it just looked like the torch as been passed. Mahomes looks much better and more well rounded, can make all the throws and keeps a very level head. I think he has a lot of Brady intelligence with the farve or rogers arm talent. Our Defense is just awful, I mean like "All Time Historic Bad" defenses to ever play football. We all thought Berry would help but really did nothing to help.

But just couldn't help watching Brady dink and dunk down the field for most of the evening that his time is about done. Watching Mahomes shows you what the future of the NFL will be for the next 15 plus years. I'm glad Brady gets his one last swan song and we will see what he does in the super bowl, I think you have just as good a chance beating them as you did us so your odds look good.

But to most people around the country ( the QB cannot control defense) it was a pretty easy to see passing of the torch. Mahomes will carry it well into the next 15 years and thanks for a good game guys.

The mother of all hot takes.

Mahomes 295 yds and 3 TD's but he was pretty avg IMO.

He stats are great, but i don't know. He was shut down in the first half, he can not make adjustments like other QB's and Reid IMO was great and responsible for the 2nd half awakening. Williams was lights out and they used him to exploited our weakness.

Mahomes missed a lot of ''easy'' throws too, by a LOT. It was not like 2 or 3 yds ,or drops because the ball was not in the ideal place(Brady bad throw to CP is an example).

He is pretty good don't get me wrong but he is not the most accurate quaterback. He best aspect is the long ball( i don't call that a deep pass because every time the receiver has to adjust his body to make a catch).

And BTW they call Brady's pass ''dink and dunk'', i call Mahomes long ball Hail Mary or f#ck Hill is somewhere there.

No you did not.

Triumph called the game to the nth degree.

Never bet against me.

It's crazy. Brady is a truly special once in a lifetime player. I was watching highlights from SB 36 and his throwing motion and decision making are almost identical.
I'm too young to have seen it but I think this is what it must have been like in the 60s with Bill Russell and the Celtics, seemingly in the finals every year.....

Yes in sudden death.

Regulation you drain the clock.
I agree. I was responding to the OP who claimed Brady was dinking an dunking the entire game without looking at the situation as you mentioned...

Come on, you're better than that man.

On another note, it was pretty apparent that the best TE in the NFL continues to be GRONK, the full package. Kelce will also have to wait to receive the "tourch."
