Any honest, experienced NFL player will tell you how incredibly hard is to get to the playoffs. Let alone do it consistently.
Add to that, going to, and winning a lot of Super Bowls.

TB is the Greatest. End of story.

So Tom Brady was only worse at winning in those years, not a worse overall player
This is moronic.
We are talking about the aspect of winning in judging a qb.

IN THAT RESPECT a qb who loses his first playoff game compares unfavorably to one who wins 2 then loses in the Sb.

A QBs who wins 8 conference championships and 5 SBs is better in that respect that one who wins 4 conf championships and can’t get that far the other 4 times and wins 4 sbs. In fact he is better than one who wins 5 conf championships and fails to get there 3 other times but wins all 5 sbs.

A loss after advancing further is not worse than a loss prior to advancing that far.

It’s really simple.

All I’m asking is if for example, joe Flacco was a better player in 2012 than Tom brady, or Ben roethlisberger In 2005

Not gonna read the entire thread so not sure if this has been said already but.....Nope!!!!

And anyone that says it’s better to be 4-0 than 6-3 or 5-4 in Super Bowls must be great friends with Max Kellerman. Stupidest argument ever for multiple reasons.

As I said that is a stupid question and is not pertinent to the discussion.

The 2 losses to the giants were more on the defense unable to contain Eli and his receivers in the last moments of the game, than on Brady.

But the last play in SB46 was the similar penalty that went uncalled as that in SB52

The other part of it for me is the only way Brady could please this argument is by going 8-0 in super bowls, and winning 8 super bowls in 16 years as a healthy starter. Its an absurd thing to hold against him.

It’s not stupid because of that first quote. I was Looking for clarification on that
And I answered that multiple times.
You just want to play games. Not interested.

These guys like Kellerman and Rob Parker are paid to generate controversy. Getting mad at them is like getting mad at Andre the Giant for being so mean to Hulk Hogan.

Brady can win the next three SB's and they will still find some way to diminish him because that is their job. There will always be someone fighting for the Pats haters in the media, otherwise no one (including us) would pay attention.

Cemented, Done Deal! Anything now is just gravy.

Oh God, please. LeBron constantly choked and ALWAYS switched teams whenever there was a legit opponent to challenge Lebron's all-star team.

Never compare Brady to LeBron.

My point is that LeBron is considered one of the greats despite losing in the Finals.

Brady is the football GOAT. He's no Championship dominant Bill Russell, but he's the next best thing.

Disagree. The greatest offense in NFL history scored two TD's in the SB. That's flat out not acceptable. Sure, Brady hit Moss with 2:30 left to go ahead by four. But that was one of McD's worst ever game in terms of play calling. The team would not run Maroney. They kept trying to go for the home run pass. It was beyond logic. The defense had manning sacked for a huge loss on 3rd down. Yet the officials missed blatant holding on the Giants OL. That led to a once in a lifetime miracle catch. The game was virtually over after the Tyree catch. Everyone knows it.

SB 46 has a terrible D going in. They held the giants to 14 points until there was a few minutes left in the game. They did their job. The offense went nearly the entire 2nd half without scoring a TD.

If an analyst brings up that Montana is superior to Brady because he went 4/4 over Brady's 5/4 or 5/3, that's moronic. So in essence, Brady's legacy would be more secured by losing to the Chargers in 07, Ravens in 2011, & Jags last season? Montana went one and done three straight years in the 80's. He lost two NFC title games to the Skins & underdog Giants (Home game btw). He got railroaded in Buffalo with KC. He went one and done in Miami in the 94 postseason. By my count JM went one and done 4 times. Brady twice.

You seem to forget what kind of defense the giants had in SB42!

SB46 would have been a win had Welker caught that ****ing ball!
