Post your predictions here for the AFC Chanpionship, New England Patriots at Kansas City Chiefs.

This contest is open to everyone, it's both a weekly and a season-long contest. Stakes are bragging rights.

Each week I will tabulate and post the scores for the previous week's contest, as well as the cumulative season standings for those who have played every week. As a one-time allowance for computer problems, forgetfulness, or whatever, one week can be missed and will be assigned that week's average score.

Scoring:
Your score is the COMBINED deviation of your predicted score for the Pats and opponents REGARDLESS OF DIRECTION. For example, if you predict Patriots 24 Chiefs 21 your score is how many points off of 24 the Pats are (over or under does not matter) PLUS how many points off of 21 the Chiefs are (over or under again does not matter). Game winner does not matter. Lowest score wins.

You may change your prediction at any time before kickoff, either by editing your original post or by adding a new one. Predictions made in other threads don't count unless they were clearly meant for this contest but were posted elsewhere by mistake. Please keep this thread to predictions only, no back-and-forth discussion of the game. A short comment explaining your pick is OK.

Good luck!

My head says Chiefs as HFA will be the difference in this game and it will be an intimidating environment for a team that hasn’t been great on the road. But my heart says this team is for the first time in a while built for this time of year and they match up well with the Chiefs defense who have allowed a lot of long drives keeping Mahomes on the sidelines. I really think this Chief offense isn’t what it was with Hunt. Pats defense is by no means the best in the league but they have shown a lot of improvement in the last month.

In years past I would go with Chiefs by double digits.
This year with this run game I think we surprise them.

Pats 27-24....in overtime :)

Edited because I had 29-19 before the weather forecast improved

As much as I want to I can't just ignore the way this team has played on the road all year. I make all my predictions objectively. I think HFA will be the difference and blowing that mia game will cost us a trip to the SB. Prove me wrong pats.

Pats 35-27

Then its on to the ATL

31-28 Patriots win :)

41-28, Pats win.

All of you objective, reasoning realist truth-sayers predicting a KC win can go shove a peanut up your nose holes.

I love my team but I think HFA is a bridge too far here. I feel like it's gonna be 2013 all over again

Predicting 3-0 due to my piss poor luck/results in picking the games this year helped produce a blowout last week. So, in that spirit...

Pats 2-0.

32 pats
30 chiefs

pats get a safety in quadruple overtime.
