AFC Divisional: We're on to the Chargers (Beat LA!)

Pats could have a long day. We drew the short straw.

The good news is we will know what kind of team we are if we win.

I think the Chiefs have their hands fuller than ours, dealing with luck and the Colts.

The Chargers have a great defense but their offense is nothing to write home about. Not saying it will be a cakewalk by any stretch, but certainty doable. If we beat the Chargers, I think the Chiefs and Colts present a much bigger problem for our defense.

After watching this game, I think the Pats have a very good chance.
I agree, the Chargers are a very complete team, but more importantly I agree that HFA is, absolutely, vital to our chances to move forward.

I feel pretty good. We need a powerful, focused team, like the good games we have seen at home this season. We know this team can do that.

Let's hope t
hat
squad will show up. I believe they will.
The same players are there.
It's playoff time. Psycho TB will show up.

I think our chances to get to the big game is thru the Colts.
And they will do it..

FU: Marbles Sharpe, LaLameian DumbAssLinson, and all the same idiots.

The Pats have as good a chance as anyone.
We are blessed to have such a motivated leader in TB.
I'm as pumped up as ever.

Damn, I just like TB and BB against what I've seen the last few weeks.

LETS GOOOOO!!!!

They have some great weapons in Gordon, M. Williams, K. Allen, Ekeler...Pats D will have their hands full, will be a close game IMO

LET IT SNOW....LET IT SNOW.....That and the burden of traveling back and forth from West to East Coast while playing a 1pm (10 am PST) two weeks in a row. All that and you look across the field and see BB and Brady. We have got this!

The Chargers have better WR and DT than the Pats. You forgot Bosa who is a much better pass rusher than anyone the Pats have.

Pats are stronger along the OL and DB’s. The Pats have a better kicker but the Chargers have the better return man.

The big issue here is that the Pats don’t have the personnel to exploit the Chargers’ biggest weakness (OL) but the Chargers strength (running game) matches up terribly for the Pats dreadful run D.

Gordon is likely to have a monster game. The Pats will need Brady to be perfect and hope for some Chargers mistakes.
TB and HFA.
That's what I'm banking on. TB is still the GOAT, IMO.

Damn, that's a lot of acronyms!

Walt Coleman wouldn't hurt , either

Not sold on the Bolts coaching and I think our DBs can handle their wideouts - but worried about their RBs and obviously Bosa, Ingram etc..

Pats aren't losing at Gillette to anybody.
And they're a better team than KC. Tough venue to play in but I like the Pats in KC.
Both games will be tough but the real test comes vs. NO. If both teams make it.

Charges defense only gave up over 30 three times this season.

Chiefs and Rams early. And then 30 to Pittsburgh and 28 to the Chiefs. The latter two being wins.

It’s going to be a tough matchup so I think White and Burkhead are going to need a big day against the LBs.

Feel pretty confident, but definitely not overly confident where winning is going to be a slam dunk or losing would take me by surprise.

I'm pretty sure Mark Henderson passed away several years ago.

The Chargers were trying everything they could to keep the Ravens in that game when it should of been over so that gives me hope that the Pats even if things aren't going well are never going to be out of this game.

I like this matchup. Their pass catchers could be humbled by our top 3 guys (Gilmore, Jackson, McCourty) and they don't have any top TEs that'd be a problem. Their RBs are good, but a bit overrated in terms of efficiency in my mind.

We generally seem to shut down opposing pass rushes this season (got me thinking about the nightmare season we had w/o Scarnecchia) but it'll be vital to establish the run game against a secondary that makes plays.

The Chargers have not played a game all season below 37 F. Sunday it's supposed to be a high of 30 F.

Just imagine if it - by the grace of the NFL gods - SNOWS. The Chargers would have 0 idea how to play in those kind of conditions.

Boas makes a big play once in a while and then he’s quiet. He gets sacks but fewer pressures. Tre gets pressures. I think you’re selling him short.

They’re WRs are decent but overrated (pretty ordinary today). DT look equal - Jones = Guy. Philon and Square are nothing special and neither are Butler and Brown.

Gordon hasn’t had a monster game against a decent defense all year. He’s a good player but there are better backs.

Hey, look, maybe LA plays a great game and they outcoach the Pats like they schooled the Ravens. I wouldn’t bet on it.

Keenan Allen is a legit top-10 kind of WR.
While Bosa does occasionally disappear, Melvin Ingram does not.

While I think this game is certainly winnable, underrating the Chargers doesn't seem to serve much purpose.
