Josh Gordon Stepping Away?

Patterson could be a nice piece.
Calvin Ridley was there we could of drafted Ridley and Kirk and been in good shape.
Time to go get the Pitt wr scout.

Ridley would have been a nice selection if we were going offense. Oh well.

I remeber the consensus being this was a low risk high reward trade and thinking that the only way it could blow up in our face is if he screwed up right around the postseason. And here we are.

The exact reason why I did not want any part of him.

Pats put themselves in this position...they KNEW Malcolm Mitchell was an injury guy when they drafted him, then they ****ed up the Jordan Matthews situation, and of course they let Amendola go, they redshirted Berrios...all these bad decisions forced them to get a scrap heap five time loser like Gordon....

Called this and I never thought for one second he'd last the entire season

I can’t say that I wasn’t excited but I always knew there was a strong chance this would happen. Hopefully this makes Bill go out and get a big physical receiver that isn’t a headcase.

Well that was the risk what a shame this Offense is now very easy to Defend. It would be next to a miracle if they made the AFCCCG.

I just went to bleacher report and saw a copy paste post of his twitter feed. Was the drug/suspension thing a BR twitter post?

It was tweeted first by Tom Pelissero of NFL.com, so it seems legit.

Ouch, just when i was starting to feel a little optimistic. Dorsett and Patterson time i guess , or try to pound the ball.

This was always the biggest danger in acquiring him. That he'd hold it together just long enough to become a regular cog in the offense, and then leave after it's too late to acquire a replacement. I wish him luck as a man. Terrible timing for the team.

I was hugely in favor of the trade, and they definitely got a lot out of him. The problem was always that it was a double-edged sword. If they got nothing out of him, then the trade wasn't worth it. But if they got a lot out of him and because reliant on him, and this happened, then suddenly it's like a major step backward.

Well.....

That just happened. Ugh. Get well, Josh.

Markus Wheaton and Sammie Coates say "Hi!"

I'm on record for being very very wrong
I'm real sorry for him and the fans he couldn't be satisfied.
If he cant make it in New England he can't make it anywhere.
I hope we keep him in play if he can play next season.

This sucks Cleveland fleeced us on Gordon and Shelton Belichick must really hate Cleveland took Mayfield and ate our lunch twice.
When did trades involving 5th and 7th rd picks get to the fleecing conversation? I get feeling negative right now, but let’s not go full simple jack here. Unless of course you were being sarcastic, in which case, I’m being sarcastic too. ;)

Its tough to hold it together over along period of time. I had hoped he could make it until the offseason, but of course he couldn't/
