Alright bozos. I'm tired of the bipolar, kneejerk reactions where we are either a top 3 team or guaranteed to get a 2009 playoffs treatment.

Lay it on the line like a man, assbutts. Predict the rest of the season if you're so smart.

@ Steelers - Win. Cause we're the goddamn Patriots.
Bills - Win. Cause we're the goddamn Patriots.
Jets - Win. Cause we're the goddamn PATRIOTS.

AFC WC Weekend:
Tenn (10-6) @ Houston (12-4). Tenn loses.
LAC (12-4) @ Pittsburg (8-7-1). Pittsburgh loses.

AFC Divisional Round:
LAC @ KC. KC loses cause of course they'll be 1 and done in the playoffs.
Houston @ NE. We uh, win, but this is a very different Houston team than early in the season.

AFCCG:
LAC @ NE. We win because Rivers has too many children.

SB:
NE vs. New Orleans.

If I take off my fan hat for a moment I think we lose this, tbh. We should definitely not be favored. I don't think the Rams get past the Saints with the SB on the line.

Lose at Pittsburgh.

Win the rest.

Get the two seed.

Host the AFCCG because KC loses to LA.

Lose in the SB to New Orleans.

I hadn't read your playoff prediction yet lol good to see were on the same page

This upcoming game will tell us a lot. If the Pats win, I'll have confidence going forward that they can at least get to the AFCCG. Steelers are playing some really dumb football right now, but this will still be a close game. I think the Pats win, but won't surprise me if they lose given how bad their run D is.

Pats get the #2 seed. Lose in the AFCCG to KC in a rout which causes the massive overhaul on D in the off season.

Saints drop one more and the Rams win out getting the #1 seed. Rams get to the Super Bowl beating NO and goes up against KC. NFL gives the Rams a pass and allows them to wear their blue and gold throwback uniforms. Hype for the game is off the charts and advertisers pay big money for this game. NFL creams their pants.

Rams beat KC in another shootout but not as ridiculous as that MNF game.

I had some really incredible insight to this topic, but sadly I am not a knucklehead and feel like I am being discriminated against :p

Remainingg Regular Season
@Steelers - Win
Bills - Win
Jets - Is this a serious question?

Post Season - Wild Card
#2 seed with a first round bye
Chargers @ Steelers - Chargers Win
Titans @ Texans (can you host within the division for Wildcard)? - Texans win

Divisional Round
Texans @ NE - Go NE - continue to haunt the Chargers
Chargers @ KC - KC wins

Championship
NE @ KC - I'm going to say KC :( and challenge the football gods to make me feel like an idiot

SB
Who cares anymore - on to the draft

Steelers Win
Bills Win
Jets Win

Then lose the first away game that we play.

L, W, W. 11-5.

I know we seem to have Pitts number but they’re due I think.

Not predicting the playoffs right now. We could be a quick one and done... or win the Super Bowl.

Lose 3 in a row, miss the playoffs for the first time in 10 years.....
If the Patriots lose to the Steelers, the pressure will be on the Patriots to win
the clincher.

I
Titans @ Texans (can you host within the division for Wildcard)? - Texans win
Yes, you can. But years ago (maybe before the 2002 realignment? Maybe earlier than that, but definitely in my memory) teams from the same division were not allowed to play each other in the wildcard round.

Edit: See correction below.

In 1985 we played the Jets in the WC round. Was this rule from before that or after that?

That was true in MLB before the 2nd wildcard was added but was this true in the NFL? Don’t remember...

@fnordcircle @sb1
Correction: From 1970-1989 teams in the same division were not allowed to play each other in the divisional round.

As you point out, from 1978-1989 there were only 2 wildcard teams so there was no way to avoid having divisionmates play each other in the WC round.

The Pats and Dolphins also both made the playoffs in 78.

I like how you're thinking, except at the SB. I also think KC will be hard to beat. Mahones is the real deal.
I am hoping we can win our last three, keep the 1st round bye, then we'll see what happens from there.

The Pats and Dolphins also both made the playoffs in 78.

I like in 97? we beat Marino and the Dolphins in week 17...and again the next week in the WC round. :)

That I think would make Bill’s seat warm up.
