Fun read: Does Brady still have it?

Agree that Moon has forgotten more than we will ever know. That being said, I marvel at how little ex-players in the media know about our team. For instance, Tedy Bruschi & Willie McGinest really aren't saying anything on the air that we don't already know.

Moon played in a different era...even Bledsoe did...when QB's really got hit and HARD. Nowadays, it could be argued that we will be seeing more QB's play into their 40's given how the game has opened up and for god's sake...Clay Matthews got a flag for a textbook QB sack...

If there's anyone I'd lend credence to in that round table, it would be House...he is backing up his comments with scientific data.

House's comments were ultimately what reassured me. Moon's comments at the beginning were getting me a bit concerned.

But House is far from an unbiased participant in that discussion. He is or was Brady's mechanics coach, for crying out loud.

Aye. That doesn't automatically mean that he's being biased, though. Same with Moon and his playoff record.

Anyone who watched the Dolphins game and has any concerns about Brady is just nuts. He was zinging the ball all over the place. 58 minutes into the game and he lays a perfect 50 yard bomb on Gordon, which would have made it a 410 yard, 4 TD effort if not for the PI.

Yes he screwed up at the end of the half but really we should have been taking the FG at that point, too risky, any penalty or grounding or anything and the half's over. Coaching error.

That was actually quite a good read. Two points that stood out to me...
From Warren Moon:

From Charles Woodson:
Edit the name. That's 3 time super bowl champion Darren Woodson of the Cowboys.

With that said, Darren Woodson gets it. That's my favourite part of the article, a part that mediots and fans just don't understand.

When Brady mentions how many yards Rodgers would throw in this system, Brady just means if he had Rodgers physical abilities. Not the rest of Rodgers.

Error on both coaches and Brady. Brady thought he had a time out and there wasn't one. Costly.

I tossed out both what Moon and House said. House isn't going to trash his client and Moon didn't just seem salty about Brady's decline but his ascension and not just in this article. Maybe you're right, there's really no way for us to truly know, but that was my take.

I thought Arions, Theismann and Hasselbeck were unbiased. I disagree with others that Drew was salty other than with the rules where QBs today don't get hit and given the Mo Lewis hit I think I'll forgive and agree with him. :p

Was Moon designated to be the turd in the punch bowl, or did he just do it naturally?

I agree with you, Moon does come off a little salty where as I didn't see that at all with Bledsoe even when mentioning the rule changes. That's just true, especially the aaron rodgers rule.

True, he might be trying to drum up more business...but he stated that he filmed brady's mechanics and broke it down frame-by-frame and said there was no decline. Dunno how you lie about that....

One thing though....Woodson is a Michigan guy...so I would take his words with a grain of salt...

Was Woodson the guy who back in the day basically said Brady was a system QB and was nothing special? Maybe I’m thinking of Rod Woodson...

Still feels like there’s a tiny bit of salt from Drew when he’s asked about Tom...or maybe it’s just me reading into it

Bledsoe: He's better now than he was five years ago.

Not sure where the "salt" is you were reading. Here he defended TB against the posited decline.

We need to wait for Rob Parker's perspective.

Sincerely,
the GDT crew.

Great way to start the day after Sundays loss...

Good read although it's a little concerning that Moon is starting to see some deterioration in his physical skills (arm, pocket movement, etc).
Even if we take Moon's observation at face value, Brady is 41. Best 41yr old QB in NFL history at that, considering how every other QB's skills deteriorated late in their careers. We're just used to comparing Brady against the ridiculously high standard the guy himself has set.

Regards,
Chris
