Still control our destiny

So I'm the only one that notices the title to the thread says "Still control our density"?

That gave me a good laugh. :D

I got a kick out of it too and was wondering if anyone would have some comebacks for it. I also noticed that all of the letters are the same but in a different order. And, as we all know...

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearer at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

Yes, what worries me most is not that they lost but because they are still not good at fundamental football and it's December. That last play is not something that happens to a December Patriots football team.
I don't know... that last play shouldn't be a huge indicator for how their fundamentals are going into the postseason. I agree that it was a play is atypical for this franchise. But luckily, prevent/last-play defense is not one of the more important fundamentals of playoff football. If you felt that way before that play, so be it. But I don't think the last play should change our perception of how good the team is at the sport of football. It was a horrible coaching decision and a horrible play. Yet it was one play that is not a frequent play in most playoff games (or any games).
I think it IS fair to think about how the last play changed our chances based on its effects on seeding

I consider tackling to be a fundemental...

WE could go 11-5 and beat the Rams in the SB like we did in 01-02

If to you, that play was about poor tackling, then sure. Thinking about the play, I only remember two moments that I could consider missed tackles.
Van Noy missing from behind
Gronk

The first one was far from an easy tackle. Not like he had him squared up and couldn't tackle
The second was our TE

If you think we are showing a pattern of poor tackling, then ok. I'm not sure that's true, especially after last week's performance vs Minnesota. But that last play today doesn't make me more worried about our ability to tackle in January.

That’s why I finally clicked on this thread...I wanted to see if anyone was commenting on the density of the team.... hopefully the density of the defense doesn’t define our destiny!

I never really felt that the Pats would catch the Chefs but do believe that a first round bye is essential.

The Patriots control their fate for the#2 seed. Yes, this loss sucked, sucked big time but all season I have been waiting for this team to show me what they are made of, so far not exactly the toughest group of SOBs , in fact the road record alone suggests softness.

Clearly this is not an all time great Patriots team but they can catch lightening in a bottle and make a run.

Big test next week and we go from there, peace out.

1- you don't control your destiny;
2- "begging the question" is not the same as raising the question;
3- spiders are venomous not poisonous;
4- vegetables are healthful not healthy.

Just needed to get that off my chest!

I try to control my density but those freakin' eclairs get me every single time....

Sorry to be repetitive, but if we lose one more then Houston would need to lose to either the Jets, Jags or a weak and eliminated Eagles team.

I know and it can happen. But this Pats team on the road is not good at all. All I am saying is I am preparing for a loss and hoping for a Houston loss somewhere
