Waiting for Ben “Willis Reed” to hobble onto the field.

Drama queen

Looking at their respective schedules, I don't think Pitt even gets to nine wins this year; I bet Balt overtakes them for the division. And then it will be some combination of Tenn / Indy / Mia duking it out with each other (and the tiebreak scenarios) for the second WC berth.

I think it’s more like 9-7

Brady typically has very good games against the Steelers. If the defense can even make a few stops (that is the question ) we can win. Everyone is saying Pittsburgh will score a lot against this D, Brady has the capability of doing that to the Steelers D also. We shall see. I would not be surprised to see another shoot out in that game !

Bill seemed to defend the decision post game.

Mind boggling

Was he actually reasoning, or was it the classic “I made decisions that were in the best interest of the team winning the game” stone wall?

That's how I took it but he did make a veiled attempt to defend the personel grouping. I think he was trying to give the press something....

Will be coming home from Pitt 9-5. Hopefully they can muster up a win vs the Jets or Bills.

Defense sucks Pitt should easily win this game...

Have either of you watched any Pittsburgh games lately?
I hope the Staties have the Tobin corded off. You guys either need to quit drinking or pour a couple of fingers of your favorite hard stuff and relax.

Meh, it's all in the ear of the listener but it sure sounded like Belispeak 101 to me

You've been a Pats fan for a long time.

Take a deep breath. Think of all the times from "Patriots won't win another game this season" in 2001 after Bledsoe got hurt, to Tom Jackson's infamous "they hate their coach", to the 41-14 blowout loss to drop to 2-2 in 2014, to a 16-0 home loss to Buffalo two years ago, to ... well, almost every loss over the last 18 years.

It happens. It happens at some point to every team that goes on to win the Super Bowl in any season in this era.

Will the Patriots win it all? Doubtful; never bet on one team against the field.

But in my opinion there is not another team in the NFL that does not have similar flaws.

I'm not going to get all worked up over this game; to me it's not worth it. Personally, I'll enjoy the ride and see what happens before I declare the season to be over.
I like this post. But I just can’t see any way the Pats win this game. Pittsburgh is gonna be foaming at the mouth after their loss. At home, with a chance to finally beat their nemesis. Pats 2018 are not a mentally tough, or plain and simple, a talented team. Truly bereft of talent, and all of the talent they have is mostly on the offensive side of the ball. BUT, not an offense that scares anyone. I’ve not seen a defense this putrid since the bad old days. NEVER get a stop when most needed.

This team is just wildly inconsistent. A week after possibly their most complete game vs a good team, good offense and defense, they **** the bed when they had a chance to clinch the division and give themselves a chance at the #2 seed. This isn’t an early season clunker, by this point in the season, you are who you are. They are 2-2 in their last 4. In a time of year when the Pats always dominate, November & December, they are 3-2 with 3 games left. Probably go 2-1, (though I wouldn’t be surprised with a clunker vs the Jets or the Bills) 5-3 in the 2nd half of the season spells a mediocre division winner and mediocre playoff team. You can enjoy the ride, but that hate to tell you, it’s gonna be a ****ty ride.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but it’s horrible drafting that has probably ended the Brady/Belichick Dynasty. The constant, perpetual trading of picks for future picks, when they need talent for the present, is what has brought down the dynasty.

Having 5 picks in the first 2 rounds in the 2018 draft, and coming away with 3 players, was a crime. And I knew it would hurt the team. And ignoring picking a future replacement for Brady, and a pass catching TE to help Gronk, and eventually replace him, when the draft was so deep in both areas, was a crime. It’s been going on for 5 years now as far as horrible drafting.

You’ve seen the Pats road “defense” yes? Getting destroyed by the Jags, Lions, Titans and Dolphins - all much less talented teams than Pittsburgh

Faced a more desperate team today, a team that played with more desperation than us, and you saw the results. Don’t care what anyone says, they will be even more desperate than Miami, and have a much better offense than Miami. What is the Pat’s weakness ? DEFENSE. It’s gonna be ugly. This Pat’s team is the most mentally weak team I’ve seen in years. And the worst defense I’ve seen in many years.

I just don't see the doom and gloom right now. Today's loss wasn't like the typical Pats loss we've seen this season. They were literally one play from winning in a place they typically look horrible in.

Don't get me wrong, I was livid when it happened. As soon as Van Noy missed the tackle I knew it was finished. But, the Texans lost so we could keep the #2 seed and the Steelers lost. So all that was really lost today was the slim chance we already had at the #1 seed.

Pittsburgh won't be easy. Their offense is good, I expect Roethlisberger will be playing, and I imagine James Conner will be back. But the Pitt defense is bad, and we should be able to score points to, at very least, keep up with them.

Come in off the ledge and close the window. Pittsburgh lost to a 2-10 Oakland team today. You've both been Pats fans long enough to know Miami Pats ≠ Pittsburgh Pats

Pitt needs this win more and are coming off what..3 losses in a row? And this D on the road? I can see another loss here if pitt wants it more.

luckily they have tomlin but don't like our chances like i did a week ago
