Gronk is BACK ON injury report?!

Wouldn't get all that concerned about that yet, BB does not want to upset Rogah and defy any of the NFL rules that are unevenly applied.

Perhaps it is as simple as he back tightened up in the cold weather.. the Friday report is more telling.

If he's list as back, probable, I might see that as a return to injury report greatness

He probably came down from the meds and now hes feeling it.

BB playing mind games with bettors?? Team seems finally healthy now this. Gronk removed from the injury report...Gronk "back" ;) on injury report?? Phew glad we have the Great Dwayne Allen. ;)

I'm not sure how the injury report works. But could it be that he was a full participant yesterday and was given some rest today due to the back and ankle? Similar to Brady and his shoulder "injury" from years past.

Absolutely. The Pats could certainly have precautionarily limited Gronk's participation in some types of activities for Thurday's practice, which would get him the "limited" designation ("legally"), even if he wasn't significantly "the worse for wear" from Wednesday's practice.

The injury report works a bit different now, it’s really just a practice participation report and if a player doesn’t fully practice then you have to declare that in the daily report

So it could be they had him fully practice and then wanted to give him some rest, but since he was a limited participant they had to declare that

Not that concerning

Why is there even a public injury report? What's the point? Is it just to give us rabble something to fuss about during the week?

Brady was on the injury report for what, 15 years? Big deal. The injury report is bogus IMO.

Making that info public is supposed to even the field for betting, discouraging gambling interests from trying to bribe team staff, etc. for inside info.

His ankle and his back will need more than 2-3 weeks to fully heal.

Use your eyes, Gronk clearly isn’t right no matter what the injury report may or may not say.

I think he played all the snaps last week? Is that wise??

I think he’s at a point where he’s just dealing with excessive wear and tear more than specific injuries. So he’s not at risk of making things worse but he’s not going to get better anytime soon. He’ll need to take an entire offseason of rest and recuperation which is partly why so many people think he’ll just retire.

I would agree and go further and say there's no way any of the regulars aren't feeling some kind of issue at this point of the grind.

Would love to see him make it to the Big Game again would be a nice way to go out. I think he could possibly play one more season...I unlike many here don't think is $10 Mill cap number next year is unreasonable. There is no Impact TE in FA or the Draft who's even shell of Gronk. Yeah there is always going a risk of injury with him but when healthy Gronk pose a difficult mach-up assignment for any Team.

Question for those in the know: What is the difference between Full Participation and someone who isn't on the report at all? Is it only required if the player was previously on the report (so they go from limited to full)? If so, wasn't Gronk limited on Wednesday, thus should have been listed as full on Thursday?

I don't know why I care... the injury report is bogus anyway.

It's so the mob can set the point spread. Thought everybody knew that.

Hate to say it but it's time....
