If the admins can look into that? I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Thank you to those that copy and paste the text. I find those quotes very impactful.

I wouldn't call this a great game by the Pats, offense is not what we're used to (obvious reasons) and defense was good -+ against a crippled jests offense. But it is something and it is better than 2 weeks ago. We're headed in the right direction.

GOPATS!

I thought I was the only one. Can't see them either

@spook75

The specifics of the embed code attached to tweets sometimes change enough that AV and ad-ware protection software won't recognize them until their next updates.

That happens to me sometimes. I use NoScript on FireFox to protect against malicious scripts embedded in web pages. Every so often, the embed code for tweets, and/or the CDN source changes to something NoScript doesn't recognize as permissible, and it blocks tweets from loading. With NoScript, it's a 2-click tweak to the "permitted" list to fix it which I just did, actually).

Whatever AV and/or ad-script monitoring software you're using may fix it with their next automatic updates (usually 24 hours or less).

Either way, it's outside Ian's control.

I didn’t see much wrong with brady today. Got the win and yes, it was not the most majestic win I ever saw. But come on man, had to play in New Jersey ?? Is anything there ever beautiful? If so, name what it was because all I ever seen there was never anything even slightly good. We’re also playing an entire team of first round picks

How about the fact that the Jets have no players who ever had a sack or INT of Tom Brady, for the Jete or anyone else?

Ok the Twitter stuff shows when I use Firefox on my phone but not chrome. Any tech experts know why?

I love following the game threads and seeing the Twitter stat posts etc

Some (probably) minor change to the Twitter feed code that Chrome hadn't caught up to yet.

That’s a pretty crazy stat. You’d think they’d have some playing us twice a year.

Amazing how Michel did all his damage on 30 snaps got hurt and came back. Also noteworthy Gordon has Surpassed guys like Hogan and Dorsett who has been longer with Brady. Gordon is getting well over 70% of the Offensive snaps compared to the two mentioned.

Vito Stellino

The Steeler loss puts Pats in positing to be No. 2 seed. If they win out and Chiefs lose a game, Pats will be back in familiar position of having No. 1 seed. They're trying to become 1st team to lose SB one year and win it next since 1972 perfect Dolphins.

------------------

Vito Stellino? Wow! What a great name.

Someone needs to let Vito know that those two SB appearances by Shula's Dolphins (1971 & 72) are tainted and should have an asterisk next to them. The Dolphins and Shula lost a 1st round pick and were fined for cheating in 1970.

LA Waddle got 7 of the most dangerous snaps that could be given to a player. Brady took a dangerous shot courtesy of Waddle. The man's a menace who shouldn't be active.

I suppose we need to keep in mind that the stat came from the announcer at the game, so who knows how accurate it is.

Brady said the team is not where they need to be. So while we should enjoy the W and the 8-3 record, there is still plenty to be concerned with. The DT position against the run, the general lack of speed and athleticism at LB, the lack of consistent play by any CB not named “Gilmore,” Gronk looking like a shadow of his former self, Gordon’s inability (to date) to get separation down the field, how the #1 RB holds up against the pounding of an NFL schedule, the depth behind Michel, and interior pass protection struggling at times. Lots to improve upon. It’s concerning that, this late into November, the team still hasn’t put together a complete game on both sides of the ball.

Sweatshirts are kinda cool though. I want one... but I don't care for those towns.

My thoughts on the game:

I feel no differently about us after this game. I don't think we will lose any more games because there is really no competition in today's NFL, outside of NO, imo. However, I do think we are capable of being more than mediocre and just as good as NO, if we hire a physical running back. Bringing in Reuben Foster, or even that gold-digger LaVeon Bell, to take some heat off Brady would be good. That way Brady can get back to being Brady. I have no faith in Michel or White's ability to carry this team anywhere-- sorry, but it is what it is.

Also, lately, Brady has been playing as if he's trying to prove something, instead of sticking to what works best for him and being more patient with his throws. He looked better today, which ain't saying much because it was just the Jets, but still... A good back will take the pressure off of him.

For the first, in like ever, I actually trust our defense. Yeah the secondary is still suspect, though Gilmore is proving to be worth the investment; but the pass rush this season has been incredible, I'm almost tempted to buy a Van Noy jersey because he's been on it all season. I ain't mad at the D at all.

First off, Reuben Foster is in jail for Domestic Violence. Foster is facing a suspension from the league once he's released. There is no way in hell BB goes to Kraft and tells him that he's bringing Foster in when DV has always led to the team cutting ties with the player. It was MKs biggest issue. That hasn't changed.

As for Bell. He's not eligible to play this year. He failed to sign his franchise tender. So he's done.

What you do or don't have faith in is meaningless when you don't even understand the basics of this team.

Why am I not able to see embedded tweets in this forum anymore?? Works everywhere else.

I had that problem a few weeks ago. Mentioned it to Ian. Then the problem just went away. I think it's something with Twitter..

Hogan and Dorsett are complimentary receivers. They really aren't primary receivers. Though Dorsett started off the season really well AND has a extremely good success rate at catching the ball.

I'll take the win. It wasn't ugly but it wasn't beautiful either. The refs had some effect on the game with bad calls and no calls. They played the Jets and the Jets QB was out.

This is not the team I expect after Thanksgiving, they have a lot of work to do if they are to get to the SB. Maybe I am expecting too much from them at this time. Sure I know they are 8-3, one game behind KC but I also know that other teams are helping the Pats like Denver yesterday. I don't think this team playing at this level just before December can win the conference game or the SB.

Let's hope they can get it all together in one game and those after through the SB.

Go Pats.
