Browns Fire Hue Jackson

2002 right? And they even were one and done. Last coach to win a playoff game for them I believe is bb in 1994 lmao

Crennell in 2007 went 10-6. Lost in the Divisional Round. The Browns have managed to win more than 5 games in a season only once since, when Hoyer was the starting QB back in 2014 (7-9).

I’m confused on the regression part. They haven’t regressed from last year?

And have they regressed from a few weeks ago when they looked great in half#2 vs NY? I mean it’s the jets

**** now that you've made this post the ghost of Good Derek Anderson from those 8 games in 2007 is going to visit us tonight

I heard it took two weeks of practice until Anderson could remember whether to hold the football by the right end or the left end.

I think Fisher is looking for his resume. "Can I just say it over the phone?"

I think you're onto something! One of the best ways in recent years to develop a QB is to have Jeff Fisher coach them. And then fire Jeff Fisher. Whether Jared Goff, Nick Foles, Sam Bradford, or Case Keenum, they each improved markedly immediately after Fisher was done with them.

Almost every team in some way shape or form has talked to Lincoln, (tons of teams have been down there inquiring about their offense over the past 2 years) so you have to think they at least think about Baker's old coach considering how bad they Fu cked this up.

#1 overall pick wout a real coach in his rookie year.

Lincoln's already commented on the idea.

University of Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley coached Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield in college and has been on the NFL’s radar thanks to the offensive acumen he’s shown with the Sooners. Riley, who turned 35 in September, said on Monday that he’s not saying never but he is saying not right now.

“No, not right now,” Riley said, via Dylan Buckingham of KFOR. “You sit here and answer these questions and I always want to be truthful. The truth is for me is I love Oklahoma. I love coaching here, I love college football. I certainly don’t have that itch right now. I don’t know that I ever will, but I’m never going to be a guy that’s gonna stand up here and say ‘No how, no way will any of these things ever happen.’ I don’t know that. I know right now I couldn’t care less about the NFL.”

Lincoln Riley: I don’t have the NFL itch right now

Whether or not he was being honest will be the question moving forward.

They did go 10-6 but missed the playoffs. For the browns though that is very competitive lol

I saw over the weekend that poor sap wants another NFL job, which isn't surprising. He also said he has a deep hatred for the Patriots and one of his motivations for returning is to beat them. Way to show potential employers that you've got your head on straight and will be focused on the important things, Chuck.
Lol what! The dude said the Colts would be his last head coaching job! If he got hired as an HC and I was playing for him, I wouldn't be able to trust anything he says.

"I'd love to be able to have the opportunity in the next couple of months ... (we'll) see what happens," Pagano said, noting he currently works as a consultant for the NFL. "It's a deep hatred (for the Patriots). Respect them, respect Belichick, what he's doing. I respect Tom Brady, what a run they've had to be able to have the sustained success that they've had over the long course of time is truly amazing in today's NFL. I think you guys know that and understand that, so I do respect that. (But) there is a deep hatred there. My No. 1 reason for trying to get back? Maybe I get another shot at them."

Hey Chucky, you had your chances and failed miserably.. just let it go man.

As far as re-trends go: Jim Caldwell is available, not a sexy name but, his resume in Indy and Detroit was actually pretty good. Jim Schwartz had quite a bit of buzz last year and Bill has spoken highly of him.

Nathanial Hackett the Jags OC is a guy I'd interview, thought he did very well last year with Blake, although obviously this year hasn't been great.
