Glazer: Pats Interested in Trading For “Premium” WR

.....but Dez was available the entire season...

Cost roughly 5 mill, not inconceivable I think. What ways do we have to clear cap?

Dunno, wasn't really thinking about whether it would be feasible or even if the Pats would want him. He's just the only good WR being talked about for trades currently that I know of.

What if it’s OBJ? I think he is a selfish player and would not want him, and he just signed for a boatload of money. But what if the Giants are just sick of his antics and want to rid themselves of him and eat the cap hit?

This would only work (salary cap wise) if they also traded Eli.

I’ll take it. Leave it to the NE front office to worry about the logistics.

Obj’s ego is bigger than the whole team combined. I doubt we’d trade for him. I could see someone like Kelvin Benjamin. But he’s also a basket case. Maybe TY hilton.

I guess BB is saying NFL defense is no longer so just acquire offensive weapons and you will be ok? I am hoping for a LB or Safety.
Or it is a realization that the defense is what it is. Mediocre at best. If we can't significantly improve it let's load up on offense now and for the future. Our best bet is to have this offense go 2007 and hopefully we get the end result we want.

Part ways with Dorsett or Hogan.

I would offer a 1 for golladay. Don’t think the lions would do it though.

Actually it was Garafolo who mentioned Pats in WR market a few days ago. He dropped the rumour of Garcon from SF . but at his age and contract (though not gtd.) would be a surprise considering long term need and it shouldn't be for a high pick either.

Considering Pats WR situation in 2019 & 2020 and their WR draft record it is quite understanding they show some activity in this market esp. if they can still get something back for Hogan or Dorsett..

I guess I already knew this but boy do they not give a flying crap about defense.
