NFL Trade Deadline “Ideas”

This trade is as likely as many of your trades. Trey Flowers to a team with
a projected third round compensatory pick. If the pick is not awarded, the pick becomes a third round pick in 2020.

Hazing ? I'm much too old for that
Anyway being serious again I've been looking for a decent board that has guys who just offer an opinion on something a poster says (trade idea draft pick etc...) instead of calling him names and acting like 2 year olds
The last one I was on a different poster was mad at BB for not trading up to get Barkley I said in exact words "Michel is doing just fine there are other issues to be concerned with" everyone started calling me a troll and all that bs
I wont post what I told them but this board looks pretty good

You've struck message board gold here. Welcome aboard.

Some of my favorite threads are the rewatch threads. There's one for every game and they provide excellent videos of key plays.

The Jets Suck thread is pretty popular too.

Take it from a former AOLe that all in all you can't go wrong here.

The posters here are pretty intelligent. I don’t anyone here ever posted something stupid like “BB should have traded up for Barkley.” The game day threads and threads after a loss are a bit different - people are just emotional so take them witha grain of salt.

I’d like to see us enquire about Landon Collins. Think he’d be a good fit for us and would also take some of the workload off D-Mac so he wouldn’t have to play in the box as much as he does at times. I’d give the giants a Third or second for him. We’d just need to sort the contract out for him. Not sure what kind of projection of a contract we’d be looking st for him

Good way for Bill to stick it to Brady again

Sad but true. I don't think BB would do that with this lack of edge depth, however. With the decline of DMac and Hightower, 98 has become the second best player on this defense after Gilmore.

Mike Lombardi on his podcast indicated that Patriots could do with another receiver before the trade deadline.

The myth of Gruden is perpetuated by a good publicist and the willing press who all think he is greater than he is.. all of this is about him, rather than being about the Raiders.. my over under is about 4 years in the NFL before he is jettisoned to the "has been" pile...
I honestly feel for Raider fans. They're watching their team leave & get dismantled in front of them while ownership goes all in for Vegas.

Just a disaster. Ownership gave too much control & paid way too much for Gruden.

So you are saying if we had a Von Miller - Khalil Mack or Chandler Jones among others we wouldn't be one?? Some guys have a knack for getting to the QB they are that good.

Depends - on their current pay scales? No. On rookie scale? Sure.

What are their teams' records by the way since sacks are so critical?

Another guy we could look into is - Obi Melifonwu

He’s a freak of nature athletically and again is another raider who was let down by them not finding a position for him as well as Gruden brutal ability to cut everything

Some practice squad players to consider:

1. Jeff Holland, LB, DEN
2. Jonathan Williams, RB, IND
3. Daeshon Hall, DL, HOU
4. Bucky Hodges, TE, PIT
5. Keith Towbridge, TE, BUF
6. Treston Decoud, DB, DAL
7. Darius Jackson, RB, DAL
8. Tyree Robinson, S, DAL
9. Avery Moss, LB, NYG
10. John Atkins, DL, DET
11. Cole Hikutini, TE, MIN
12. Dezmen Southward, S, CAR

These players would cost nothing. Not even a draft pick.

All of the WR talk would make more sense if there were a corresponding move that sent a WR out of town, perhaps to a team in Texas that runs the same scheme and is currently without three of their top four WRs.

DL Atkins was signed by the Pats as a UDFA last May. Stayed through OTAs and Camp. Played in all four pre-season games. Waived in cutdowns.
