At LAST,,, we have a RB

Let’s pump the brakes on Michel. It’s one game. I thought Maroney was legit after his first 100 yard game against Cincy in ‘06.
He was legit then. Didn’t last long enough, unfortunately.

Does anyone here think we should make a trade for a third RB? I don’t want either of them to wear down!

yall got some short memories

TC injury which pretty much kept him out of the preseason.. and now three games under his belt, I like what I see.

He was also an excellent pass catcher at Ga. , that would be an incredible asset if he develops that skill as well..

Sony was fine on Sunday. No one is saying he's the next Corey Dillon.
What I saw Sunday reminded me a bit of Robert Edwards. About the same size I think. Some good runs, I feel like as a rookie he’s still processing a lot of coaching on every run, which is how I felt about Edwards his only year. A promising start.

Um...He's had a grand total of 1 (one) good game. Let's not go putting him in Canton or even at 1 Patriot Place yet.

Jonas Gray had one good game. Lawrence Maroney looked good in his first year.

He looked "as advertised," so keeping fingers crossed for the final book on Michel. Remember, you have to be pretty special to not split carries in a NE backfield... but I can easily see him having a bell cow (NE style) role.

Especially now, with only White and Barner as the other RBs. Pretty clearly, this wasn't the plan going into week-1, but s**t happens.

I’m impressed with Michel thus far. He has shown improvement and determination. Now weather he can be consistent is another matter but I think he will be somewhat
What does the weather have to do with it? :)

Anybody see the Browns Chubb last Sunday?

Next stud NFL RB. Bank on it.
Sounds like you've got a Chubb. :D

Hmmm. A very interesting comparison. Good speed. Could turn the corner.

I remember Edwards being a bit bigger but hell it was 20 years ago...

He’s gonna be good. Let’s take it game by game, but he has special talents. There’s no denying that fact. I’d say Stevan Ridley was the best feature RB since Dillon, but was never the same after that knee injury.

I admit. I wanted him instead of Michel. Thought he was more of a pile mover but in a more spacial game, Sony might have been the smarter choice
Michel will break some long runs, let’s be patient. No doubting Chubb is a special talent as well. 2018 was a very deep RB draft. Royce Feeeman looks really good for Denver, and of course Saquon Barkley looks great so far.

Both listed as 5’11” 215. But you’re right, Edwards seems like he was bigger. But hell, Marshawn Lynch has always been listed as 5’11” 215, and he’s been a beast most of his career.

Edwards is listed on P-F-R as 5'11"/218. Sony measured 5105/214 at the Combine. Close.

Dillon is listed at 6'1"/225, so a little bigger than both. Antowain Smith is listed at 6'2"/232. Blount measured 6004/241 at his Combine.

OTOH, BGE was certainly a "power runner", and he's listed at only 5'11"/215.

I liked Freeman too.

Like BB, I like the bigger RBs but I by no means am complaining about Sony. Assuming good health, he'll be fine.

Weather? Is he a mudder?

I hadn't looked at Edwards's measurables but I believe the 215-218 size. A little bigger than Sony. It'll be interesting what kind of strength program the team puts him on. It seemed to me the had Ridley pack on a few lbs after his rookie year and it hurt his burst but helped him take the punishment

Lynch is a crazy runner. Always keeps those legs moving.

It seemed to me Dillon was bigger than 225. He was bigger here than when he started out with Cinci. That dude was a load.
