No issues using Sony, but they definitely underused white tonight. Did not get that at all.

What?? :eek:You Didn't see those padded stats run by White in Garbage time?? :confused:The boy look good.:)

I was on a international flight during the game- we had the game, but the WiFi was a joke, so I couldn’t join all my peeps on the GDT. I really needed support though- my god.
I have concerns. We might have one of the worst receiving corps in the league right now. Seriously, was it just me or could NO ONE get open?
The defense...no words.
I’m very confused as to what Belichick is doing right now. The team has little fight, passion, intensity...it’s chaos. I feel like I don’t even recognize this team.
Obviously, Edelman & JG will bring something more to the O,& we were missing Chung & Flowers, but the issue seems greater than this.
I posted a thread a few minutes ago that will likely get taken down. Basically we've got a ton of guys who don't want to be here. It is time to purge that part of the roster, even if it means getting worse before we get better. This club needs to get more talented if it is going to win a Super Bowl. But more than getting better talent-wise, we need to improve our mental toughness on the roster from top to bottom.

Edelman and Amendola, for me, were the two biggest leaders on this club the past few seasons next to Brady. Edelman being back should help to keep this team focused. But otherwise we are missing leadership. We could really use Blount, Lewis, Long, Butler, and Amendola right now. Those guys had fire and a winning personality. Our guys right now don't have that special something.

People laugh at my comment, as if they can point to our current roster and say we have a winning attitude. This team spent the whole offseason in turmoil and almost traded away our biggest weapon (Gronk).

How these issues are worthy of a chuckle after a 1-2 start is beyond me.

I’m really glad I went to bed at halftime and got a good night’s sleep instead of watching that turd sandwich of a game.

What is Flores supposed to do with the **** sandwich Bill is giving him. Slow old safeties, average corners sans Gilmore, young corners with little nfl experience, slow overpaid linebackers, d line that can't rush the passer or stop the run. Also Bill oversees everything which means Flores has little control over what's going on.

Not to mention Bill's methodology for drafting defense is outdated and picking at the pack for 2 decades doesn't help. Not to mention all the wasted picks on second round corners and wide receivers.

Because Patricia had the same players last year and was better

I think it’s pretty clear that the team’s misses and bad luck in the draft in recent years are catching up to them. An infusion of young, cheap talent is badly needed but due to combinations of misses and season-ending injuries to our high picks, we simply do not have that. The good news is that Edelman will be back after next week and maybe the team can get Gordon on the field (the **** was he even doing being deactivated last night? You can’t even get him on the field for a quarter of the offensive snaps?) but the defense still has some major problems that likely won’t get addressed until the offseason. Shelton is not what we needed and Brown has not been good, either.

This stretch of two games remind me a lot of 2002 and 2009. Just could not stop the run on defense and got pushed around.

What you claim to be the root of the problems, and your suggested remedy, are amusingly over the top.

You’re smart. It actually got worse in some ways. There was a bit of a tease after the TD and then the Patriots just went into submission. Then they flat out quit like in the KC game.

We lost to a terrible browns team during mangini days. Sh*t happens. Doesnt hide their defensive woes though. 3rd down defense is an issue for ages now.

Yeah, but I would argue that in many ways, this game was way worse. The Pats were 6-1 and were rolling with a big game against the Stiglers the week after. I could see them easily overlooking the Browns and the rookies in that game played like rookies. The Pats also turned the ball over at stupid times and in many ways lost the game.

This was different. The Lions just beat up the Pats. This was like the Green Bay or Denver game in 2002.

With that said, when Jules is back and you have Gordon stretching the field, I think the offense will start rolling.

One thing we've seen pretty consistently over the years is whatever a team hasn't done in a stretch of games they usually accomplish against the Patriots D's. Last night the Lions had a 100 yard rusher after not having had one in the previous 70 games or so . . . a rookie no less. Whether it's individual droughts or team droughts in a particular statistical category, the NE defense seems to always be the elixir.

Sad how we are pinning our hopes on a 32 year old receiver coming off an ACL injury and another player who has done basically nothing in 5 years.

I have an early meeting today and had seen enough at halftime.

I’m hoping this somehow isn’t the end of the road, and we do what we’ve done every year. Maybe it’ll all turn around still.

But Tom is 41. Who are we kidding on that fact? A lack of talent will make a QB age fast.

Things will go south quickly if we don’t figure this out. The energy of this team is at an all time low.
Toms deep pic at end seemed like a oh well F it chuck

Offense may get slighty better when Edelman comes back but they simply don't have the players on offense to outscore teams. Belichick simply cannot Draft receivers.

There is not a whole lot of Hope for this defense. I know some guys were out but they just don't have the talent.

The years and years and years of bad drafts of finally caught up to the Patriots

Not including plyers who are primarily special teamers, there are 23 defensive players on the current roster.

Of those, 8 didn't play with the team last season at all, and one more (Hightower) played in only 5 games.

Through the first three games last season, the defense gave up:

391 rushing yards
992 passing yards
69 1st-downs
95 points

Through the first three games this season, this defense has given up:

430 rushing yards (+39)
1060 passing yards (+68)
73 first downs (+4)
77 points (-18)
________________________________________________
Meanwhile, through the first three games, the 2107 offense produced:

302 rushing yards
1020 passing yards
75 1st downs
99 points

So far, the 2018 offense has produced:

293 rushing yards (-9)
607 passing yards (-413)
53 1st downs (-22)
57 points (-42)

There isn’t much not to like about Brady, but I think not spending OTA’a and offseason with the new WR may be part of the problem. BB fat and slow defense has been a problem for several years, but they didn’t use to get exposed as much because of the chains moving offense.

I had this team at 11-5 to begin the season. Starting to feel that may be too optimistic. I honestly don’t know what to say about it. Everyone looked lost and lackadaisical and like they were bored. No sense of urgency. The defense lacks talent and I don’t know how they will fix that for the season. The offense can at least be salvaged with Edelman and Gordon added in but I don’t think they will be strong enough to carry this team all the way.

Front 7 needs help in the worst way.
Love the idea to sign Eric Reid.
Think we should revisit Breshad Breeland.
Linebackers scouts need to earn their money.
