Semi-OT: Last night, was Jamie Collins even on the field?

Yeah, he was out there but looked like he was sleepwalking. I saw No. 51 with "Collins SR" on the back of his jersey and had a hard time figuring that, indeed, was Jamie Collins because he wasn't playing like what we remember.

who?

it's hilarious how some people can't let go

If by some chance he gets cut this year or next would you guys want a 2nd shot on em on a one year?

I would doubt it, he was let go for a reason.

So was Chung, but I don't think Collins will have the same rebound chance (so in essence I agree he won't be back)

Looking at wiki, Chung played four years before leaving. I can't remember if he was cut or if he became a FA and the Pats didn't give him an offer. Different circumstances it would seem.

Players with questionable motivation issues tend to slowly sink into the muck of irrelevance that is the Cleveland Browns.

It will depend on our roster. I'm assuming contract based on incentives and he'll be used situationally.

chung walked as a FA.
Collins was shipped out for a mid round pick.

Stranger Things have happened and Bill doesn't hold grudges, but I think unless his ego takes it down a few notches, it's unlikely to happen.

You're right, but Branch is a decent comparable.

I wrote it in another thread but will just shamelessly repost it here:

He had all the physical tools to be an all-pro type player but just never seemed to care enough about football to push himself to that level. Consistently underwhelming with flashes of what he could be.

I don't see BB taking Collins on unless he changes his attitude towards the game. But that "big" contract he got from Cleveland slammed the door shut on that I think. He already made enough money for a couple lifetimes and got a ring.

What could possible change his attitude at this point ?

It’s not a grudge issue, it’s that Collins’ goals don’t really mesh with the teams.

Chung became a Free Agent. Vastly different than the Pats jettisoning Collins the way they did..

I was looking for Jamie Collins on every play last night and it stood out how he really was getting pushed around against he run and couldn't stand his ground. Like, noticeably not physical, and at times wondering if he was even trying to be.

And I say that as someone who was skeptical about this claim as being one of the reasons why he was traded away to the Browns in 2016.

Wow, until I read your thread title I forgot he was on the Browns and I watched the whole game. Yup, he's invisible.
