Antonio Brown wants to be traded

Tomlin and his clown car of a coaching staff have to be careful. He's at serious risk of losing the team. Especially if they keep losing games.

Losing the team? They ties with the Browns (in a game they would have lost to anyone but the Browns), and got croaked at home by KC (garbage time TD notwithstanding), where I didn't see a KC receiver tightly covered by anyone. What did Mahomes have? 5 Incompletions?

I think he lost the team when he promised the Steelers would play the Patriots twice, weeks before they played in the regular season, got beat, and then got housed by Jacksonville at home, this was after they ****-talked James Harrison on the way out the door.

I think that locker room's been lost, that defense is the worst in the league, and they've done nothing to address it, they overpaid at WR, QB and OL, and now the QB and OL have lost steps, obviously.

It's a top-heavy team with an aging top, and a coach that has no answers other than 'the process is the process'.

Even if they somehow manage to come back and make they playoffs, they're no threat to anyone.

Pats don't pay for shiny hood ornaments.

He's worth it. He's even worth it for that cap number for another couple of seasons. Only problem is, his contract's longer than that.

Screw that. I rather have them be stuck in mediocrity unable to get any top 10 blue chip picks than have the satsifaction of those 1-2 years where they totally suck.

Agree. I'd much rather the Steelers keep Ben, Bell, Brown and JuJu and go 9-7 for the next three seasons, just missing the last wildcard berth each season based on tiebreakers.

Totally agree that’s the best case scenario. This also keeps Tomlins ‘no losing season’ streak alive so he is tougher to fire.

They shouldve traded bell and brown to some sucker team for a few #1 picks , handled the PR hysteria and drafted players to replenish and cheaper. Instead they get headaches without any results either.
Nah, their window is closing quickly. I'd keep Brown over Bell, but I'd try to keep everyone together before Big Ben is totally washed up. It'll be a while before these guys are this good again once Ben hangs them up. I know people like to **** on Ben here, but the guy is still really ****ing good at Heinz field. It's a struggle getting wins on the road, but if they were to snatch home field, they could definitely make the Super Bowl.

What parts of the team are you going to strip to afford it?

Roethlisberger's Home/Away splits are absurd. 99.2 at home, 88.7 on the road (10.5 point difference). Brady is 98.6 at home, 96.6 on the road (2 point difference).

For years, I have wanted some big name players because I’ve always believed it would translate into wins. Now I am not so sure. Take this thing with Bell. Would you seriously pay one running back more than all of ours combined? The guys good ok but he is not Eric ****erson, Barry Sanders, or emmet Smith. All that said, even though I dislike bell, I’d still not mind having him join if he’d take like 3 million per

Antonio Brown, "We suck!"

Antonio Brown 'pissed off' by Steelers losing: 'We suck'

As good as Bell is, this aging team needs to put cap cash into cost effective vets next year to rebuild their D.
Only of CIN implodes (quite possible with their coach) does PIT win their division. Ravinz suck.

He claims he's all about winning and losing and isn't mad about personal goals and lack of targets, but that couldn't be more false. He had a fit after Roethlisberger decided to keep the ball and run it in for a TD, so while the team was celebrating, he was chewing out the offensive coordinator. This happened last year as well (it probably happens all the time, but last year it was also documented) that he was groaning during the game after they scored a TD because it wasn't thrown to him.

I think Mike Florio has the best take on guys like Brown. They portray themselves all over social media and are given all positive attention and praise. Then when the tide turns (which he deserves in this case) they get act like spoiled brats and decry the evil reporters for merely reporting on his darker side. This is like the fourth time recently he's threatened, sworn at, or called out journalists for reporting accurately about his misdeeds.

I'd sell my soul to see them lose on Monday night to Tampa Bay. What an epic train wreck this is becoming, and I think that game will make or break their season.

Agree.

Which is why we want them to sign Bell and Tomlin long-term extensions.

If they want to burn the house down, lets make sure they have plenty of matches.

Not a lot of sense here.

All of this couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys than Tomlin & Co., IMO, but Brown going anywhere, especially in the AFC and especially, especially to the Patriots? No, ain't happening.

PS: they just took Le'Veon Bell off the Active Roster yesterday. Big Troubles in Steeltown.

Don’t sell your soul. The Steelers aren’t worth it.
