I thought J Jones looked good yesterday as well. Seemed to move at a different speed than the rest of the D.
He took a couple of bad angles, though. Horrendous tackling.

Yeah, I saw that someone else had mentioned Jones as having a good game, but that didn’t stand out to me just watching as a casual observer. I’m sure we’ll have better opinions once film gets broken down. The only things that really stood out were that Rowe sucks, Chung constantly seems to be a step behind, and I didn’t think that Gilmore had as bad of a game as I’ve seen suggested.

Rowe sucked at the Super Bowl. What else is new?

The LBs going into suspended animation didn't stand out?

Agree. He is a JAG in spite of being predicted by some folks on this board as our secondary savior.
He was always totally mediocre. And some people were actually comfortable with him as the #2 CB going into the year.

When Philly talked about how they had specifically planned to target Rowe in the Super Bowl I was not surprised. Ever since he came to NE I've wondered why teams don't target him constantly.

Why are people so obsessed with that quote? Do we actually think an NFL team went into a game with a strategy based on what they saw out of Rowe in training camp a year and a half prior to the Super Bowl?

They obviously saw how he played in NE since and he has been a JAG. He got beat often and I'll tell you that kid of got lucky on more than several occasions with receivers dropping balls or QBs just missing open guys.

Do you really think that they didn't start their game plan with that and add to it based on the fact that Rowe hasn't actually improved during his time with the Patriots.. Contrary to what many people claim?
