The Josh Gordon Thread: Pats Officially Acquire Gordon for Fifth-Round Pick

Like I said before in the other thread....and got two "disagree" votes:

Conditional 4th IF he plays 14 games.
Conditional 5th IF he plays 10 games.
Conditional 6th IF he plays 5 games.
7th rounder at worst.

I don't mind burning a 4th for 14 games of Gordon taking the top off the D...then we let him go into FA....no way do we sign him to a big deal with him being on his last chance.

Well, I mean, I see Edelman (hopefully back up to speed) and three #2/3's when I look at the Pats WR corps. What do you see? What do you think BB or Josh see?

Gordon is a Hail Mary. Sometimes it's worth throwing them. To me, the Pats are down at the half and in a place too far for Gost to kick 3, bot not too far for Brady to reach the end zone. Throw it!

I see a team without any consistent ability to threaten the deep hash or deep middle. That allows CBs to play single man coverage on our WRs which cant beat man coverage consistently. That allows the D to roll a safety on Gronk and play 6 in the box.

Because Tom is Tom they'll still put up points but it won't be consistent vs really good defenses. Like JAX

Gordon and Dez is going to happen and will make this board’s collective head explode.

lol........because crappy route runners who show up during the season will sure as hell get brady's attention

I have lived through all of it.......I was also here for when the pats used to get good value out of players and the players only left when there wasn't much left in the tank......we are now walking away from guys like chandler jones and brandin cook.......and guess what we suck at......pass rush and WR and are left to dig through the trash of crappy teams
Theyve been letting players walk since the day Bill got here.

Gronk
Edelman
Gordon
White
Dorsett/Hogan/Hollister/Burkhead

Yes, please
My goodness. That group is nasty. Gordon as the third option... Dorsett/Hogan as the fifth!

Exactly what I see, which means Gronk will get bumped grabbed and doubled all day long and the D can ramp up a pass rush on Brady with impunity.
