I liked Coleman out of the college but Baylor has produced wrs that have been ok but not great. Kendall Wright, KD Cannon, terrance williams. All those guys are great athletes but it seems they hardly get open. Have terrible route running skills.

I wish we had taken a flyer on Kendall Wright. At least the guy has had some success.

The scouting report on Coleman always stated he ran great routes, so I’m not sure that’s true on all of them.

I am not sure the scouting report said that exactly.

If I recall correctly he had something absurd like 70% of his routes at Baylor being either hitches or go routes. And then another somewhat substantial amount of slants and screens. And those he ran pretty well.

The issue is that he was rarely used outside those 3-4 types of routes so he never showed he can run the whole tree and nevermind running it at a nuanced level.

But then again at this point there should be enough NFL film of him to judge that a bit better.

It's amazing to me that this thread is still a thing. It seems pretty clear that even if all of our WRs got hurt this week, Dez would not be among those that got the call next week. We would call in 5 UDFAs first. He's not a fit. He is not disciplined, smart, or quick. NE's coaches see it, most of us see it. It is pretty clear.

The issue is you comparing dez Bryant to randy moss and not accepting the stupidity of that when numerous people tell you so.

Forum 101... Use 2 players in the same post and you get backlash of people saying you are claiming one guy is as good as the other guy... That's what is stupid. Same thing happened in Brissett thread. Lol. Fact is that players can share characteristics when you point this out clearly . It's called the English language and it's wonderful when a post can articulate the subtleties for people to follow along... When they have the time.

Second point is buress is an interesting comparison except a bit worse player statistically. So is that ok..?

If you had actually said what you now claim you did you may have a point. However here is what you said.

Dez is different but similar is LITERALLY comparing him to moss. Not sharing a characteristic.

Got it... But the initial comparison was about the locker room personality. Fans were mostly against bringing Moss here at the time. I know because I had a thread on the subject and argued with lots of PC types who can't accept a guy who is less than their perfect soldier 24/7. Well ... They got 3 good years ( Brady injured ironically throwing deep to Moss).

Also interesting.. Moss' stats also trailed off years 8-9... But.. Brady caused a slight uptick year 10.. going from 3 TDs to 23 . Can you translate that uptick to other players? OMG..!! Dez had 2 times more (6) TDs in year 8... Than Moss.!!!!
