Tony Corrente is RETIRED. Morelli was out there today. I was THERE and SAW him try to screw us.

BTW Mr. Gosling...have at it..rip and tear the team sideways...after all, YOU don't see why it shouldn't be a goddamned Felger show every goddamned day in here

He got a pick for Ten today. :oops:o_O:(
He also got pretty badly beat for a TD...
Smoked. he even pulled the 'ran so fast he fell down' thing when Stills was pulling away.

threw the INT right to him. It was a decent play, but one that any JAG CB should be able to make with some regularity.
Right. I didn’t feel any pangs of remorse watching him. Dion Lewis on the other hand...:(:(

I'm really looking forward to finding out if the problem was schematic or just poor play. Romo seemed to think it was the former.

As to Shelton, most of those big gains were being run off tackle. I don't think you can ask your NT to stop plays out there. Usually you are looking for your LB's to make plays out there.

Bottom line - there is too much we don't know about the schemes, personnel, and why those runs were so effective. But it WILL make for a great discussion when the film thread comes out and some of things become clearer.

It really seemed like they were defending the pass in the 2nd half, not 'giving' the run to Houston, but not crying over a 6-yard gain that runs the clock. That's what you're supposed to do when you're ahead 2 scores, I thought.

The 31 yard run to Miller was inexcusable, however. And that one was definitely off-tackle. Clayborn pinning his ears back too much? He'll learn. Or he won't, and he'll sit.

Corrente was the ref today, my friend. Steratore is retired. I loathe corrente but he was the one out there today.

I would dress him just for passing downs. He's one of the best edge rushers on the team imo.

You've only seen him in pre-season. It may be that Davis is more consistent in contain than Rivers at this point, and Davis was also in on some pressures today.

Edge-rushing isn't everything.

Really liked the game plan to give them the light RB running game but force Watson to beat them from the pocket all game with strong coverage.

BB just gave the script to the rest of the league and Watson will have a different learning season.

I also think Watson, coming back from a knee injury, will have a tough year.

People are whining about the refs after that game?? Especially when we got away with a Gronk drop?
you missed a ton of non calls that were BLATANT. The Pats didn't "get away" with anything on the Gronk play.Someone should have thrown a damned flag if it was so blatant. BTW the final Houston possession was absolutely fraught with blatant, in the ref's face offensive holds...no calls.

Could Mark Anderson set the edge?

Anderson had Nink outside of him off the line. The scheme is different now, anyway. The edge guys don't have guys like Nink outside and behind them. They need to be able to set the edge and play consistent contain on their own.

And then Pats fans wonder why other fanbases think we are whiny, entitled a-holes.
