I am really happy that it looks like Brady trust Dorsett. Going into week 1, I was worried about the WR position. But it looks like Dorsett has picked up the playbook. And him and Brady are on the same page. Dorsett being a viable WR bodes well for when Jules gets back.

Also, it is only week 1. But I am liking Flo as DC.

Week 1 Who the hell knows how good this team is going to be, but it is nice to put a W in the pocket. While we navigate the first 4 weeks of the season.

IIRC, I saw no blitzes, no stunts, etc. Not what we want to do against a running QB anyway.

More than anything, just your standard 4 man rush that actually collapsed the pocket.

I wasn't suggesting it was?

Speaking to the fact that some people are really confused to put it nicely.

I said more than a few times we we're simply winning 1 on 1's to create pressure & it was more than evident Watson isn't his "old self".

That & their OL combined w our personnel on the DL is what happened.

W/e "scheme" we're playing on defense is based on what players we have. Not Flores & I'm a huge fan of his. We'll see his "stamp" as the season goes on.

But people saying we're more "aggressive" or Flores > Matt makes me laugh. I love the change but this is an upgraded front 7 & it's only week one.

I just got back from the game. I have no idea what game any of YOU were watching. I'll sit back and let all you "KING KNOWERS OF THINGS!" rip this team up, down and sideways. All I can say is I am a happy Patriot fan. So have at it, throw feces all over the board like ******ed rhesus monkeys. Pats 1-0.

Good win. Defense played well, Watson pretty much held in check. I like how Flores is using more of a pass rush and with Hi back and Flowers & Wise are going to be a handful.
Good to see Dorsett making plays and not only these upcoming three games without Edelman but he will benefit even more when he returns added him as another weapon.

Someone had a few too many Natty lites

Overall it is hard to find much fault with the OL. Particularly the tackle play. A big deal considering the pass rush of the Texans and the Cannon coming back from an injury as well as Brown's first start with the Pats.

It wasn't perfect but that was encouraging.

It’s quite possible (imo probable) these first two games will be the OLs biggest test all season.

I don't drink alcohol. I DESPISE undercover rat trolls that infest this board with their sanctimonious. ultra narcissistic screeds that constantly seek to degrade the Patriot fan's enjoyment watching the Pats win.Perhaps it's a generational thing...I'm in my sixties, you are in your 20's. Perhaps you have this need to point out others failures to buttress your own self esteem. Whatever it is, today's win was thoroughly enjoyable and I see no need to go off bashing individual players for whatever imperfections they may have displayed out there today..IN A GODDAMNED WIN.
I read this entire thread before I posted and I saw NO mention of the despicable Morelli, who I can tell all of you unequivocally, tried to SCREW the Patriots out a well deserved win. Contemptible, abominable,CROOKED refereeing. Guess everyone missed the utter depravity of this crew because of the TV screen.
