I remember watching Troy Brown fumble punts his first year. You people calling for McCarron's head are beyond impatient.

True. Some people say one game + one mistake = career ovah...

This game got me hyped. After the disappointment the Defense was in the SB they look great in this first game. Here's hoping it will continue this way throughout the season. Played a bit more aggressive than we've seen recently. Offense did well first half but got sloppy in second. Not worried once they begin to gel and we get Edelman back. Got a lot to improve upon but Good win. Shame about Hill though

Run D sucks a**!

Pass rush looks more aggressive.

It’s going to be a brutal game in Jacksonville next week.
I didn't see an aggressive d in terms of blitzing or trying to scheme guys open on stunts etc.
Will have to wait for the all 22 but we just won 1 on 1's today & were a lot of comfortable/prepared in game 1 than most anticipated.

TBH this was one of the most concerning games on the schedule for me - Texans are good, their D line vs NE’s O line, Watson vs the “new” defense, uncertainty with the receivers and no Edelman, preseason growing pains lingering... so even if they lost I would’ve been ok with it. So, color me overjoyed to watch the Pats pretty much maintain control throughout and the defense play well (especially in the red zone). Loved what I saw. Lots of stuff to work on but I’m feeling very good about 2018. Just hope Hill isn’t out for the year. They can survive losing him, but I really liked what he brought to the team.

Brown was cut 3 times before he stuck on the roster. Including once after fumbling. If you're going to give a history lesson, at least give the full picture

I mean in terms of how the the guys going after the QB were rushing. There was more urgency.

What did you think of Rivers being inactive?

I'm bummed for Hill. He was darkhorse to have a really solid year. Let's hope there isn't any structural damage but I'm not hopeful.

What does Confucius Chau say?

I stated in the GDT that McCarron will be in the dog house *IF* we in fact have a dog house. I really do not know that we in fact have a dog house.
This is a scratching post exclusive board.

Positives

8 different guys caught a pass
Dorsett caught all 7 balls thrown his way

Redzone D
We got a very important win against a conference rival

Negatives
