Hey guys and girls! I haven't been around here since we lost. The loss was devastating to me and my standing mandate of giving the corrupt 32 and media affiliates nothing has kept me away from football news. And they got nothing from me quite literally. Didn't look up a single thing, didn't watch the draft, didn't watch the opening. Nothing at all. Anyways tomorrow is game day and so I've logged into patsfans for the first time since the defeat and I'm here for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

Can someone give me a quick summary highlights of this off season with regards to the team and NYJFL*?
Not looking for links necessarily, I'll look at the threads, but I don't want to dig thru every thread.

Thanks!! :)

Still bummed about the loss, really felt like we should have won. But I hope we can go 19-0 this season!

Revamped the defensive line, wr depth is questionable, all the draft picks are injured except for a promising lb and gifted but raw defensive back, and Richards was shipped to Atlanta but the board has failed to reach a consensus yet on the next whipping boy. Season looks promising.

Welcome back!

Edelman suspended first four games

Lost Solder

Top draft pick was possibly best player in draft and popped his Achilles in the first preseason game, other 1st rounder questionable to start season, 2nd rounder on IR

Brady will play 5 more years

Big off season moves were Cordarelle Patterson, Trent Brown (starting LT), Adrian Clayborn, extending Shaq Mason, trading Richards and Cooks

5 Posts in and I Can't believe nobody mentioned yet, . . . .

The Jesters still suck, even (especially?) with a new first-round rookie starting qb.

Amendola is a Dolphin. Cooks was traded for a 1st round pick, used to draft RB Sony Michel.

Belichick the GM killed Belichick the Head Coach.

Edelman got nailed for trying to come back from an ACL tear.

"Ray Lewis killed a guy" was the top vote getter in every poll.

Tom Brady stretched - a lot.

Gronk got paid (sort of).

All the rookies are on IR except Sony Michel.

OT Trent Brown is the largest human being ever seen in Foxboro (and was the unspoken other part of the Jimmy Garoppolo trade.)

There are two McCourtys in the secondary and no one can tell them apart.

The kickoff tomorrow will lift a bummer that has lasted for seven months.

We don't really have any receivers anymore.

Just combine these 3 posts.

Matt Patricia left to be the HC of the Detroit Lions. Now we will have an aggressive defense with the D not thinking as much since Matt P is gone and he was the problem.

They signed some free agents and drafted some players...all of which are on IR. Vegas has the Pats as super bowl favorites and the Jets as most likely to draft first in 2019. You didn't miss anything as you've experienced this many times before...Groundhog Day 2.

:confused:o_O How can you be a fan of this team and not follow it at all between early February and September? At the very least, you've earned the necessity of sifting through every thread between then and now.

The loss was devastating. I don't want the corrupt 32 to get a cent of revenue from me in any form. I considered coming back to watch the pre season games but I decided against it. I'm sifting thru the threads right now. Looks like I didn't miss too much. Read that McDaniels pulled one over the Dolts or some ****? Nice, **** that cokehead owner!

There was some drama in the off season with Brady and Gronk not reporting for OTA's. Both got their contracts adjusted.

Solder signed with the Giants. Dola and Bolden with the Dolphins.

We had 2 first round picks and drafted 2 studs from Georgia, Wynn, left tackle didn't last a quarter of professional football and tore his achilles. Sony Michel possibly the best RB in the draft has a bone to bone issue on his knee and already had a minor procedure on his knee so he missed most of camp.

Malcon Mitchell could not get healthy and is gone.

And the best news, Jordan Richards got his ass traded to Atlanta.

I am positively surprised that people can still completely turn off most of the NFL/sports media machinery given how you are being bombarded by it almost from everywhere. Honestly, nice job..

I got so sick of all the Deflategate bullsh it, that I completely shut the door on all sports media (not that I paid much attention anyway), and all things NFL - including the Pats - from March of 2015 until sometime in September 2016, and I didn't rejoin any forums until March 2017.

Perhaps not coincidentally, during that period "away" I was also probably the most productive I've been at other activities for the past 18 years.

Well, you've been pretty productive here since...;)
