In all seriousness I think it's WAY too early to know. Jacoby Brissett has a canon for an arm, made good decisions but couldn't get rid of the ball fast enough. He's rated 25 on this list and that seems accurate. Jacoby looked very good in preseason while facing zero defensive schemes with many 3rd, 4th stringers filtered in. IMO he has a long way to go to crack this top 10. --> NFL QB Power Rankings: Where all 32 starting QBs stand heading into Week 13

I think the only time Defensive lines salivate more (than rookie QBs) is when they ring the bell for dinner at the buffet line. Jets continues to show the impatience AFCE teams have when trying to compete with the Patriots or win now mentality.

The Jete don't care about winning now, next month or next year. If they did, Bilgewater would be their starting quarterback. What they care about is making an occasional PR splash to sell tickets.

Darnold and Brissett are lightyears apart in talent level. It's just not comparable.

Teddy Bridgewater was insurance in case what ever rookie the Jets drafted wasn't ready and/or if McCown hit a wall, assuming Teddy B could even play. Plan B was to flip Teddy B for a draft pick, which of course the Jets did.

Regardless how Teddy B or Darnold do going forward the plan worked beautifully and was a nice bit of FO work by the Jets. I'm not a huge fan of McCagan but he got this rite.

I don't know if Bridgewater one the QB competition or not, I was't there.
But I suspect he did for the most part, Darnold may do some things better but given that Teddy B is a former starter he would have to have the edge.

And the under and over on wins should go down from 6 to 5.

Um. What? That's entirely what the "working out" of "the plan" is based on.

3 votes? Hmmm. Darnold, Bowles and Mike Maccagnan are patsfans members?
Darnold's mom is too. She was on patsfans.com to get the feel of a winning culture. That's why Gumballs and JeteFan69 are here too. Too bad for all of them they're stuck with da Jete. At least Darnold had no choice, he was drafted. Dumballs and JeteFart69 are in by choice. That says a lot, doesn't it?

Poor Darnold. Stuck behind a miserable O line and no talent at the skill positions either and a terrible coaching staff. No wonder he was so unhappy on draft night.

Tbh why would anyone CHOOSE to support the Jete.. I see absolutely nothing about them that screams "I like them". At least with teams like Pittsburgh or even New Orleons I get it.... But the Jete...?

Jees, frontrun much?

They find some talent now and then.

Woodhead and this Robbie Anderson looks good.

I see Darnold being on the level of guys like Stafford, Ryan, and Carson Palmer. He’ll be a good franchise QB. But not elite.

But hey shoot, for the Jets? Thats the best they’ve had since Pennington when he would stay healthy for a season. (which was rare)

Should be 3 vote options.

1 - Yes
2 - No
3 - Maybe

2 rookie QBs in the division, and then Ryan Tannehill.. i like our chances!

We better get Brady's replacement soon tho, because if Brady retires and we have no replacement while the rest of the division has high pedigree QBs that have developed, it will be a big problem (assuming these rookie QBs actually develop)

Here's to hoping we get to watch another epic failure at QB for the Jetes

Quick, tell us who the Jete offensive coordinator is.

I knew you couldn't.

Quick, tell us who next year's Jete offensive coordinator will be.

No one can, but odds are high that it will be someone different than this year's bum.

No one to block, no one to catch, no one to run.

Same old freaking Jete, you can count on them screwing Darnold up.

My prediction was more about what I think about Darnold himself.
