Ha you're reaching man.

Correct "somewhat confident" is not exactly "confident".

Hence the "somewhat".

So less than normally confident, but still... somewhat.

For further definition, see here: Definition of SOMEWHAT
No, I'm not reaching, YOU are hedging, which is what you do. "Somewhat" ... "almost" ... "usually" ... "kinda sorta" -- all staples of the Jete fan lexicon, in which rationalization of abject suckage has become an art form.

In all honesty you can’t put Bowles behind Hue Jackson. And I might put him ahead of Gruden too.
No, Gruden has won a Super Bowl. He might not win a lot this year but I think he still can coach.

Good timing. I literally just came in from trimming the hedges.
That's a lie.

By the way, I recently came across a great photo summarizing the last half-century of Jete football:

Or have the blitz picked up and get torched.

If that happens then it is hard to imagine Bowles finishing the year as coach. They have no other pass rush options.

If they try to get a pass rush from safety blitzes they certainly will get torched often.

Typical Jete fan mentality, touting an imaginary "star in the making" vs. winning football games. I hope Dam Darnit has read this article. Did you know that **** Butkus once won Defensive Player of the Year on a 1-13 team?

I found this bit from the article very interesting: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Bridgewater deal was so the Jets could "make sure" Darnold started against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 10.

So the Jete got rid of their best QB -- the one who would give them the best chance to win games -- in favor of force-feeding the first-round rookie to their fan base. Brilliant.

I for one look forward to being forced fed Sam Darnold, sounds like great fun.
Darnold can sink or swim.
I'm tired of all the Darnold hype before he has even taken his first snap in a real game, I want to see him play.

Can't wait to add him to the list of ruined 1st rd picks, eh? Why bother letting him learn to read defenses and lead when you can throw him behind a garbage line with a wr corps that may be worse than ours through the 1st 4 weeks? You morons never learn. Same Jete, year after year.

... with a wr corps that may be worse than ours ...

Don't think so. Jets WR corps isn't bad. Obviously there's no OBJ or Hopkins, but at least 4 solid 2s. With Robby having WR1 upside.

But yes there will inevitably be growing pains that should be fun to discuss here.

Fun fact. 60% of the Jets wins in the last 2 season have come against the browns, bills or dolphins.
They are 4-18 against all other teams.

I'll take two of whatever this clown is on. Robby Anderson is no No1 wideout. Lmao! And then you first name him like hes Randy? Gtfo. Your offense is going to be hot garbage. Rookie qb, garbage line, admittedly meh wr...he'll be ruined before October is over

Yeah, that's the spirit! Throw him to the wolves 'til he's shell-shocked, injured or both!

Great thing is we'll know if you're right or wrong in a month or two.

The front looked great against the run. Secondary "should" be pretty good considering they were decent last season, and now the safties aren't rookies and we've added Johnson as CB1 pushing the others down a spot.

Pass rush is a real concern though. NONE during the preseason. Yet I'm hopeful Bowles lives up to his rep as a great defensive guy. With a solid run front n secondary, hopefully he schemes some good pressure.

In the preseason I saw the jets defense line up with a single high safety and then bring the other safety down into the box for a perfect blitz opportunity. However, they backed him out before the snap.

It looks to me like the jets are going to incorporate secondary blitzing this year, which should give them a chance to get off the field on third down.

You guys are really trying to draw conclusions from preseason games?
