A 32 year old player can be replaced with a much younger player for a fraction of the cost. The Patriots have done this time and time again.

The Dolphins gave Almendola 6 million for 1 season. He found a team stupid enough to give him that much money and 1 low information Pats fan that thinks that was a good idea.

So how does that have anything to do with you saying nfl contracts aren’t guaranteed and amendolas contract being guaranteed?

His Pats contract was NOT guaranteed. If there was a future NE contact that would be the same.

They spend to the cap every year. They pay their players, just not in a traditional way the players have been accustomed too. As in 8 guys on the team get 70% of the pie. Where Belichick arranges/rewards practice squad and st’s players higher than the league average.

I don't know if this has been said … The Patriots managed Amendola's playing time during the season to keep him fresh for the playoffs. Danny was outstanding during the playoffs and he derserves every penny he is getting. He knew that he wasn't going to get that from the Pats and he bolted for South Beach. Congrats to him. Just remember the Fins aren't going to manage your minutes and you are not going to the playoffs!
