he is not coming to the Pats to play DE...he is too young and does not have a pre existing injury. He does not strike me as very coachable
He come as a TE though.

I try and care about where LeBron lands, but then I realize how stupid this whole process is.. unfortunately, he has turned into a mercenary whore... Ohio's favorite child has diluted the quality of a team sport.

LeBron has pretty much bastardized the whole FA process and over time wonder what the effect of this type of thing will have on the NBA???

The NBA has devolved over time into a bunch of individuals playing hard when they feel like it, where one or two players on a team make ALL the difference and coaching is more or less irrelevant. Free agency coupled with guaranteed contracts = a bane to pro sports.

I hope it is the Lakers, it would clear the way for the Celtics to take over the East.

He's taking his talents to Hollywood.

All LA has to do is pay him, besides CLE no one else can do that. Then you couple in his son going to school there, him owning a home there. And no only can LAL sign him, they can sign another big name player like George or Paul (maybe not Ringo though ;) )

The C's are poised to take over the East even if James were to sign with Philly. Irving, Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Big Al along with Morris, Smart or Rozier, and probably Baynes. The C's are sitting pretty.

Cs aren't taking over even their own division.
I know your usual position is extreme pessimism but this is just stupid. The Sixers looked overmatched by the Celtics without their best two players. Talk to me if Fultz develops into a good player and Simmons learns to shoot. Even then..

76ers had too many players with too little experience. 11 months from now their youth/talent/experience will mesh much better.

Simmons can't shoot very well. Fulz has been a disaster compared to the C's with Tatum/Brown/ Rozier with Hayward/Big Al/ Irving , not very likely even with Embiid.

If you're buying into the Irving is leaving crap don't, he's not signing now because he'd make a ton more in 2019. Lets not forget the Sac pick either.

Boston had Brown, Tatum and Rozier, who were "too many players with too little experience". Boston also didn't have Irving and Hayward. Show me the big piece that the 76ers add, and I might come more to your side. Tell me that Fultz gets past whatever is his issue, and becomes the player so many thought he'd be, and I might come more to your side.

Right now, though, that 76ers team has no shot.

I’m actually going with the Spurs. Here’s how I see it.

Celtics: While it would likely be appealing for him, I don’t see Ainge wanting to blow up his young nucleus, which is likely what he’d have to do in order to land him.

Warriors: Cmon now. He won’t get paid there, and no one will take him seriously if he goes out there. Think he wants to beat them rather than join them.

Lakers: Market wise makes a ton of sense, but way too young of a team. Plus does he want to be involved in with the Ball nonsense? He could bring Paul George over, but meh.

76ers: This makes more sense from a talent perspective, but is also still a very young team. All it takes is for Embiid to get injured again for this to not be a very ideal situation for him.

Rockets: This would be my choice. But Rockets will have to face the challenge of managing affording both Paul and Lebron onto the roster. I think they have a shot, but a lot of questions surround Chris Paul.

So I look at the Spurs, and I see how they still went to the playoffs even without Kawhi. That is obviously the result of great coaching. For the first time in his career, Lebron would have an all time great coach to work with. (Something that the likes of MJ and Kobe had through much of their careers) Give him the excellent Spurs depth, along with another star to work with in Kawhi, and I think this destination makes a lot of sense.

Thoughts?
And Lamarcus. Don't forget about Lamarcus

Lebron and Big Balla Levar ... journalists who love drama will have a field day.

For that combo Fleger n Spazz might be willing to relocate to La La Land

ABP - anywhere
Who here REALLY cares where Lebron lands?
The balance of the entire Eastern Conference since 2011 has been about where Lebron has been. Lebron leaving the East pretty much clears the field for the Celtics for several years with maybe Philly being the only team that has a competitive shot. There’s several teams in the East Lebron could go to that would make a clear cut roadblock in the East.

Likewise for the Western Conference teams he could either add another team to playoff mix or join the Rockets or Spurs and be a massive issue for GSW’s continued dynasty.

So where he lands has a massive impact leaguewide.

North Korea

The Houston Rockets are relocating.

Kim Jong-un would probably love to have an NBA team. Apparently he was obsessed with basketball as a kid.
