Edelman facing 4 game suspension

It's the same idiotic camp that thinks BB was the deepthroat for the Wickersham article. Murray, Spazz and Felgdooch are throwing gas on the fire

These guys are the National Enquirer or Star Magazine for Boston sports.
It’s just stupid. People are out there saying that people who have worked together for 18 years and been more successful than anyone that came before them are doing things publicly to send messages to each other.
If Brady and Belichick actually believed that the way to deal with adversity is to plant a story in the media or do something like skip workouts to hint to the other they are mad in order to get some kind of unspecified results we would have zero championships.
Yet the idiot crowd keeps thinking it.

I've always been of the opinion that a lot more players are using HGH (if that's indeed what Edelman has been popped for), than we ever get word of. It seems relatively easy to get away with it. Won't stop the critics from hanging the cheater label on us again, but hey, if you're not used to that by now I don't know what to tell you.

As for Edelman, think of it this way: You're 32(?), coming off a major injury that, if it doesn't heal 100%, greatly impacts your bread and butter, aka the ability to cut at superhuman speeds. He needs to not only get that healed in time to be physically ready for camp, but early enough to get over the mental hurdle of, "If I make this cut, is my knee going to explode."

So you weigh the risk/reward: You take the HGH, you heal faster and you're ready. If you get away with it, bonus, and you're like a lot of other guys in the league. None of your peers are going to judge you for it (at least not earnestly), because they all know the realities of the situation in the NFL. Worst case? You get popped, you lose four games at the beginning of the season, but you're still 100% ready to go for the games that matter. I'm not sure how anyone without an agenda could reasonably blame Julian for making that choice.

The other factor is that it'll cost him roughly $1.5M, according to Miguel.

I know it's possible to come back from these types of things (see Rodney Harrison), but this certainly affects my opinion of Edelman going forward.

(Assuming that some mitigating revelation isn't forthcoming.)

I wonder how his parents are taking it. I wonder how it affects his "in everyone's face" personality on the field.

He should be disappointed. You people are talking like Edelman did nothing. He told PEDs. Everyone knows he uses Guerrero. Of course Guerrero has to get out there and say it wasn’t him because the media would certainly implicate him.
This board doesn’t live in the real world.

No way Edelman wins his appeal. Honestly I'm okay with it. I'm sure he did use PEDs but so does almost everyone else besides kickers punters and pocket QBs.

Anyone using it to say he is 'cheating' needs to wake up to the reality of the NFL.

It gives him more time to heal up and considering his age and injury that is probably a good thing. The first 4 games don't matter much. At worst the Patriots will go 2-2 and then finish the year 12-4 or better. 11-5 is only if something goes very wrong or Brady suddenly becomes old over night.

It also gives the Patriots more time to work out the WR situation which is pretty deep.

It makes Brady work more with new guys like Matthews or Britt or Berrios (depending on the number who make it) which will probably pay dividends later on in the year.

Either way as long as the line blocks the offense will be fine. It will all come down to the D.

Disappointed but not surprised. So many variables on that banned list. However, no benefit of the doubt here. Ultimately it is his responsibility to make the legal choices as well as what goes into his body. It’s his job and if he knowingly did it then so be it. He’s got to deal with it.
???

Edelman (or his trainers) apparently thought that PED's would help him come back stronger. There is no way to know whether they brought him back stronger by 4 weeks or not. If Edelman is healthy, then who are we to question? The NFL has its rules, and he should be willing to pay the relatively minor cost. And, yes, it seems that all suspensions are appealed. I' not sure why.

which is exactly WHY I have been going beserk about Fraudell since 2006. The goddamned submoron on EEI at 12pm kept bringing up the gates and kept stating as FACT that Brady deflated footballs. I personally want to ****ing punch this idiot in his face until he is unconscious. Get this straight., Article 46. PERIOD. Every damn thing that has been affixed to the Patriots franchise since 2006 has been willingly endorsed/organized/implemented by Roger Stokoe Goodell the biggest piece of human excrement and the most blatant example of ugly Americanism in the history of our country.

If you send me a bag of dog poo, I'll drop it off for him at his front door on my way to Maine.

Lazar is normally solid, but he referenced this as part of his proof:

Edelman’s an idiot for getting caught and deserves to be punished just for that.

Great, I suppose this is gonna happen by 4 today. If anything happens at all.
