Celtics 2017/2018 Thread

I don't want to be negative about this team but something has stuck out to me. It happened in the first playoff game but luckily didn't cost them the win.

On too many occasions they've had a very comfortable lead with 3-5 minutes left and then rushed off a few shots rather than let the clock run a little. It has cost them a few games during the year.

They're still playing incredible though, especially for a team with so many key injuries, so I don't want to knock them too much.
2-2 now.

Boo-hoo.

would have been nice to get the win. but im already on to next year. they are the team to beat unless ladouche goes to philly. then its anybodies guess. go bruins.

Liked the look at the future though: Brown 34 points 8 boards, Tatum 21 points. Together 7-13 from 3.
As you go into next year completely healthy and with Irving and Heyward back, this will be a blessing in disguise. Both of those guys are experiencing growth in the game that they otherwise wouldn’t have.

Jaylen Brown in the postseason so far. averaging 24 points a game, shooting 51 percent, 46 percent from 3.

...and that's exactly what happened Sunday afternoon.

We saw Good Jaylen for 47 minutes...

...and the one minute of Bad Jaylen cost them the game.

I'd still rather have Jamal Murray.

I think the challenge tonight is for the youngsters...what am I saying, the whole team is youngsters...don't dwell on the last game, and focus on the game now. They fought all season for home advantage, and they can benefit from that.

It will be a gratifying accomplishment to win this series.

nice win tonight. marcus smart makes a huge difference in the game that doesn't always show up on the stat sheet. he is such an excellent defensive player.

Pretty good example of how Smart can make a huge difference to this team without being a scorer.

We are gonna miss Smart :(.

We gotta win tonight on the road....wife's B-day dinner is on Saturday....the same time game 7 is.... watching on my iPhone under the table ain't ideal for my marriage......

All right...you can go for the mini earphone...preferably blue tooth (wireless)

Also, have as many discreetly placed TV screens available, if you're hosting, where you can glance at the action

Or, if the party's on the road, make like you gotta go all the time

I don't care if we've got Bill Murray, Game 7 is coming up!

...um, didn't we just do this?

LOL, I am actually deaf...so mini earphone is out. We are eating at some fancy restaurant..so I doubt there will be TV's in my sight lines.

So, the plan is to utilize my DirecTV's Genie box....tape the game at home...and stream it over my iPhone later that evening....the only hard part is going "off the grid" for 3-4 hours without reading any news..... I might watch the 1st half before dinner though...so won't have to stream more than the 2nd half (can't fast forward a stream effectively).

While I am happy we have home court and want to see these guys play Philly....I don't feel good about Saturday's game.

I thought we played well in game 6 by moving the ball, but simply got killed when the Bucks closed the 1st, 2nd, and 4th quarters.

I like Marcus Morris, but he shouldn't be a major offensive option for us. We need to get Brown an Tatum easier shots and use Horford more in the paint....Horford isn't a big scorer, but we need 20ppg from him, IMO. Just 10-12 shots in the paint per game, get to the line a bit, and maybe hit a three or two.

I so totally envy you now since you do not have to hear Roger Goodell's voice...

If we make it tomorrow, it's gonna be a war with the Sixers, like the old days.

It's too soon after what happened in February to be calm about it...

Well the Garden will be rocking soon.

Playoff experience is really important, to me.

If the Celts can hang on and advance tonight, it'll give them more valuable time in the spotlight. Whatever happens, I know they're not giving up without a fight.

I am really excited to watch the team this year.
Not sure how far we get in the playoffs but not really worried about it as this team will be fun to watch all year.

Then ... maybe ... we knock off the Cavs but enjoy the season first.
Interesting, that the Cavs and Raptors are beating each other up prior to the ECF.

jaylen brown is out for game 1. maybe longer. it just never ends for this team this year.

Chin up. Nobody here is giving up.

I think, if we can split games here, maybe we get him back for Game 3.

We just need to do what we've done all season - make the best of what we got.
