My guess for the season is 96 - 66 ....

stanton had 2 bombs today and a double. the yankees are going to roll over the redsox. the sox are the worst team in boston.

The Sox could have used him... or any big bat that they could possibly get.

This gave me visions of 72. I remember Rogelio Moret was pitching lights out against the Tigers. Sox had a 4-0 lead going into the 8th inning and then the Tigers lit up Moret for 8 runs. Sox could not recover and not only lost that game but ended up losing the division by a half game that year.
I'm off the bandwagon...for now. :)

Last september when the pats lost a couple of games someone had a signature that read "only five months till the redsox equipment truck heads to florida'' or some such drivel. To that poster ha ha ha.

not worried about the first 2 weeks of the season. Stuff happens right out of the gate.

Dead Sux have 7! arms in the bullpen, and only One of those is Left-handed, and that one belongs to a rookie with Zero AAA experience.

Way to go - again - Dumbrowski.

**** the Dead Sux.

It's about time these two teams threw fists again. Baseball is better when that happens between the Sox and the Yankees.

April looking better than March, so no comments from Red Sox Fans.

12-2 with this starting Pitching looks OK. ;)

great start to the season. I always said the more you win in April the less you HAVE to win in September. Its just a different atmosphere in the clubhouse with Cora on board and everyone seems to be focused on baseball.

14-2, best record in baseball and best start in franchise history. Offense and power numbers have been great (highest .SLG% and most XBH in the majors), and the pitching has been pretty damn good too. Have to be thrilled with this start.

Cora has definitely done wonders for the clubhouse, and he seems to make just the right decision more often than not. People were scratching their heads about starting Holt against Ohtani, but Holt broke out of his slump that game. Sat Benintendi in favor of Moreland yesterday, and Moreland goes 3-4 with 4RBI. Cora looks like a huge step up from Farrell.

As a whole, I think you’re right, but sitting both Betts and Ramirez on Sunday was one thing; keeping Price in when he was obviously losing it is a questionable decision. Reminded me of opening day, and the choice to keep Kimbrel on the bench, which backfired horribly.

I understand the role that closers play, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for that 4th out—maybe even 5th in a situation like Sunday when he’d hardly pitched all week long. At the very least he should’ve gone with the middle reliever who was warmed up and ready to go. That’s twice now and we’re not even through April. It’s something to keep an eye on.

Sox struggling a bit, lately.

Not a big fan of Pomeranz + there seem to be some middle relief and defensive breakdowns. Hoping to see that improve so the team can get back on the right track.

Betts is the youngest player in MLB history to have 4 3-HR games. Early candidate for MVP?

Betts has had a great year so far. I would think he is at the top of the MVP race for sure.

Stanton in a Yankee uniform still sickens me. The fact that Jeter just gave him to the Yankees is shady as hell. Second baseman Starlin Castro, right-hander Jorge Guzman and shortstop Jose Devers for Stanton is a lopsided deal in favor of the Yankees and MLB just let it happen. the two prospects are low A players with a light resume so far. Criminal
