If you’re going to dismiss all of the negative news with a grain of salt, don’t just treat good rumors as fact either. Felt like people made too quick of assumptions that he will play next year.

The positive news in these rumors is no more helpful than the negative news so each can be dismissed with relative ease. Neither is particularly informative nor scientific data that helps in answering player intentions.

Gronk will say something about his status, show up or not show up, and then we will know. I don't know Gronk has been a regular at these voluntary workouts over the years (half the time he seems to be doing rehab work), so I would not view this as alarm worthy.

The last thing I want is a Brett Favre situation on my favorite team.

Best to ever play the position, but his time here has run its course. Ship him out to the NFC, and see if we can snag a 2nd rounder for him.

The most dominant TE in football will bring more than a 2nd - at least, he had better. Gronk isn't retiring - this is about MONEY. A first + a player.

He wants a pay rise. Simple as that.

It sticks in the craw a little bit but just pay him.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if gronk is traded, you can't run a team when one of the key players won't say definitively if hes going to play. BB can't go into the season not knowing for sure if gronks going to be there. If he is traded i doubt the return will be commensurate with him being the goat, because he won't commit to playing.

Am i only one sick of this guy already? I love gronk but geez dude. Maybe he wants to play elsewhere.

How dare a player do things that mentally inconvenience a bunch of people on an internet forum!

I think we should grant him his wish. Trade him for a 1st round pick (NFC team). He’s getting older, has a huge injury history. Send him to the highest bidder. Draft Goedert or Gesecki (or both).

It seems the offer they made to Amendola was laughable and disrespectful , I think the era of players playing here at a discount is close to an end.

We can’t trade him anywhere until he gives assurances that he’s going to play. Unless you want to accept a lowball offer by other team which in that case I’d rather just keep him.

Okay, big assumption here. Assuming Gronk isn’t showing up because of good reasons, and the team is fully aware as to why and doesn’t agree with it, would anyone be surprised if he isn’t traded on draft day? I’d really hate to see things end that way, and hope that the team doesn’t ship him off for nuthin’ just to get rid of a potential problem in the locker room. This locker room is going to be so wildly different come the start of pre-season. Buckle up boys and girls. This season is going to be on hell of a ride.

You trade Gronk & the SB window is shut. Our offense maintained the 28-29 PPG without him in 2016 because we had a top 6-8 TE in his absence in Bennett. With Gronk & Bennett that offense was going to be top 10 all time. Without Gronk AND without a strong capable backup TE the offense has nosedived almost a TD per game historically. The 2013 offense with & without Gronk is the definition of an MVP candidate.

So what can the Pats do? You'd have to realistically trade Gronk for a pick & a good TE since rookies at the position basically do nothing. We're trading Gronk for Olsen/Witten & a 1st? Seems unlikely.

If you trade Gronk & don't replace him with a good to very good TE then that's a foolish move & a dumb end to the remainder of Brady's career.

His #bandsamakeherdance at the end of his social media posts means PAY ME. Have to think BB is tired of this. I wonder how Brady would react to Gronk being dealt.
