Not interested at all. He has one of the weakest arms for an NFL qb.

Brady had a weak arm coming out and worked to build his strength.

I like Lauletta as a developmental prospect, but no higher than round 3, and I get the feeling that, with all this hype, some team is going to reach for Lauletta in the top 50.

I don’t see a canon from the guy, but certainly not a WEAK arm. If you watch video of Garoppolo in college, the arm strength is similar to Lauletta’s.

It’s just that Garoppolo had an incredibly quick release, Lauletta’s release is probably as quick as anyone in this draft, maybe Rosen’s is a tad quicker. But also Lauletta certainly has the arm to make all of the throws. Some of those deep throws were beautiful and on the money. Give Lauletta 2-3 years behind Brady, and he could be the next Garoppolo. Very similar QBs.

Let’s not forget, the Senior Bowl is where Garoppolo really made some noise a few years back , was not rated a 2nd round pick prior to that game. Same thing for Lauletta (except he was MVP of the Senior Bowl) this year. I saw a mock where we take Luke Faulk, but that’s because Lauletta went 12 picks higher. I can see Lauletta going late 2nd, early 3rd.

I'm just not digging the frame. He doesn't have the ideal frame for a quarterback. I would never reach for him before the 5th round. And to say he's like Jimmy G well, the only comparison is that they came from FCS schools, that's it. Jimmy's accuracy and lightning quick release is something to behold. Plus Jimmy has a stronger arm and a more adequate build. I'd rather go with Mason Rudolph or Chase Litton.

It’s funny you say that. Lauletta is actually a little taller than Garoppolo. Could be the single digit (5) instead of the double digits (10). I wouldn’t say Jimmy has a stronger arm, I would say they are pretty even in that respect. Watch highlights of Jimmy as a pro and in college, most of his passes are short quick passes (perfect for the Pat’s offense), hardly anything past 40 yards (in the air).

That’s why Lauletta is perfect for the Pat’s offense as well, Short quick passes. I would guess both would max out at 55-60 yards in the air, as opposed to Josh Allen who could wing it 70-80 yards.

Not trying to convert anyone, I’m just not seeing this weak arm some are claiming. Also seeing a quick release. I do see some things that can be worked on, Lauletta does seem to have a lower than perfect release point like Philip Rivers, but I think that’s something the coaches will work on.

I am interested.

How does this make you feel, then, @SammyBlueCat?

You mean the fact that Brett Hundley was the previous record holder? Effing awful. Keep Hundley out of this, man. I don’t want his stench on either one of these QBs.

The listed height/weight is a little exaggerated anyways. His frame just isn't good for an NFL QB. My eyes are not deceiving me.He reminds me guys that were once qbs then converted to receivers. I'd be totally shocked if he's drafted by the Pats to be honest with you. He seems like a good guy and all but Litton and Rudolph should get the call. They have that prototypical size for a qb and Litton has a pretty nice release.

No. Just the fact that Lauletta has felinesque maneuverability. ;)

Lauletta
Litton
Woodside
White
Falk
Rudolph
Hope we end up with one of those QBs.
If we don't sign Manziel

Like this list, I think IF the Pats feel Brady’s successor is in THIS draft, it’ll be one of these guys. I think this will go down as one of the best QB drafts in quite some time, so I hope they take one of them. Beside liking Lauletta a lot, really like White too. Falk is high on my list too. As long as they get one in the late second or third, they should wind up with a good prospect. If they really like Rudolph or Lauletta, I could see them taking one of them at 43. The others I can see in the 3rd round.

We might have to take Rudolph at 31
I think I'm really warming up to Lauletta and White.
Litton intrigues me the only QB we really seem to have contact with is Lauletta
I'm sure we will due our dilligence on alot of QBs before the draft.

I don’t think we HAVE to draft a QB this year. If next year’s class is better, Bill may want to put it off for 2019.
