Pretty goddamn stupid. I expected better from him. Why the need to bring 50 g's of weed down to Costa Rica? It can't be a money thing.

Couldn't this constitute drug trafficking? Bye bye Harmon u moron....

This explains a lot. I think he hid it like that to keep Richards and bademosi out of it during super bowls

Harmon didn’t think it through...

What I don't know is if FLA will arrest him for possession.

Ok, that’s what I’m saying essentially ...if this constitutes a major offense and not just simple possession, it could be a problem with Bill. This isn’t a cop stopping him at a traffic light and noticing weed on the passenger seat. Harmon is transporting weed to another country.

Harmon probably heard that Costa Rica weed laws are light and thought it would be ok to bring some down there on vacation. Obviously he didn’t think things through that it might be considered drug traffiking by US officials.
It's really dumb. 2 oz isn't that much and he likely brought it down for personal use on vacation, as you said. But traveling with weed internationally is always a terrible idea. Not sure how much is considered trafficking. If it was enough to be co side red trafficking he might still be sitting in jail in Costa Rica.

What an offseason. Jordan Richards just got bumped up on the depth chart for the first couple of games. As Charlie Brown would say, good grief.
You're assuming Richards makes the team... I'm hoping that David Jones or Damarius Travis can make the jump and out play him..

I have no clue why so many PRO sports figures making 7-plus digit salaries a year are so moronic as to do these types of illegal acts (guns, drugs, domestic violence, ETC..).

They should get the full penalty of the law and PRO teams should set a higher standards to punish these players.

Because pro sports are among the only professions where a someone who had no prospects of higher education and really no prospects to make much beyond minimum wage can find a way to make a 7 figure salary.

It would also, you know, cost them one of the best deep safeties in the league over a tiny amount of a drug that's legal in the state he lives and works in. I can't believe you're serious.
It may be legal in the state he lives and works in, but it's illegal in the NFL still.
Good thing for the Pats that the NFL has a very complete set of rules in place regarding drugs. This should be a 1st offense for Harmon. Which should only require him to enter the NFL's Drug Program. Any further offenses, though and he'd be looking at suspension.

What are the cap savings/dead money hit of releasing Harmon?

And how about this "unknown substance". Was that not cannabis.

Harmon is a good dude so he brought some weed?
Who cares?
It isnt going to hurt him it isnt going to hurt the people he chooses to smoke it with.
Was it a bad decison to bring it on a plane absolutely.
Should he be cut?
He is a great deep safety a great team mate a smart dude and loves the team.
Cut him for pot I would think BBs gone senile.

What "unknown substance"? The reports said Weed and Weed oil.

Bill: Eric, are you still available? We have an opening...

Reid: yes sir
