Beckham target of false report of club brawl: '100% not Odell'

Odell Beckham Jr. was the target of a fraud video and false report trying to paint the Giants star receiver in a bad light Saturday.

The Daily News has learned that viral videos that appeared online Saturday claiming to show Beckham in the middle of a Friday nightclub fight at Atlanta’s Gold Room were outright lies.

“This is 100% not Odell. He was not and is not in Atlanta,” Beckham Jr.’s lawyer told the News. “He has not even been in the state of Georgia recently. The people who falsely posted and reported information will be hearing from his legal team. We intend to take legal action against anyone who perpetuates these false statements and claims.”

Saturday afternoon, Black Sports Online had posted a video of a man BSO identified as Beckham getting into a tussle at The Gold Room. The BSO video came from a Twitter user @SRDtv and showed a man with dark skin and blonde hair appearing to trade blows with an instigator across a crowd of bodies.

A second video from Twitter user @DeminoSavage showed the man with features similar to Beckham taking a sucker-punch in the back of the head. BSO’s report said “a bottle girl at the Gold Room confirms Beckham was there,” but now we know the truth - it wasn’t him.

The Daily News published a story linking to Black Sports Online’s initial report but uncovered the truth and quickly worked to portray the truth of the situation.

BSO later modified its intial report to remove all previously-listed details and sourcing on Beckham's presence at the Gold Club, but has yet to issue a retraction.

Yeah you can tell it’s not him. Guy got sucker punched though. Dudes are such pus$ies today. You got a problem with someone, square up with him.

Rap is absolutely dead. The stuff out there now is pure, PURE trash. The only exceptions I can think of are Drake (sometimes) and Kanye when he makes new music. Other than that, I don’t really even bother with it anymore.

Why waste time and effort putting out good lyrics when all you have to do is create a beat which people will eat up no matter what your singing about?

Walk it talk it by migos who are also from Georgia so I’m sure there’s similarities in the song production as TIs music

Rap is good. Classic rock is trash. Any genre from the 80s is trash.

Classic rock is when great music ended. In the 90's you have your Soundgarden NIN, Marylin Manson and STP, stuff like that but everything nowadays is trash. Rap included. It pretty much stopped being good after Eminem. There is absolutely zero good new artists around and (new) music is really going to be dead. I feel bad for the youths who have nothing to listen to unless they wind back the time machine.

I agree most rap is trash. However, I think you're being very generous about Drake and Kanye. I think they're both overrated.
