Keeping expectations realistic. Don't like recent history of injuries he has

Camp will be competitive as usual and we will see who is left standing when the dust clears.....Another day in a Foxboro TC..... On to the season and another potential Championship !

PLENTY to be excited about even with the players we lost.......bring on the draft and another FA signing or two.....

Guess I'm a glass half full type of fan...

I told you what a film room with Bill does to your asking price.
After he went through his plays w BB . I think he's glad he is still an NFL player..
Can he play the run? Looks like all in all a pretty fair deal for both sides. May look like an overpay for us later but hopefully we’ll get a solid year or two outta him. Not a great season minus the Cowboys game.

Why did people think he would make so much $?

He’s been available the last few days for good reason.

good deal . details will probably make it even better . 3-4M 2018 cap hit id guess

Solid value, he should outperform that contract and get another crack at FA while he's still in/around his prime. Makes sense for both sides.

Also, re: the comments from some other posters about him being injury prone, he was early in his career but he's only missed 3 games over the past 3 seasons. I don't think we need to be worried about durability for him moreso than we would be for any 30 year old lineman.

I'm guessing people looked at his sack total from last season and guessed that like Mark Anderson back in 2011 he'd be paid some unreasonable premium based on that. But in Clayborn's case everyone knows six of those sacks came against Dallas, going one on one against one of the worst tackles in the league and repeatedly beating him with the same move. There are a lot of dumb GMs around the league, but nobody so dumb to pay him like a 10 sack guy based on that one game.

Camp fodder?? :D:p
