When will the Patriots sign a UFA?

This is the furthest into FA that I can remember the Patriots going without signing a UFA. We have made a few trades and resigned some players which is good but it still is surprising to see us go this long without at least one player signing.

What do you all think the deal is?

If the point of this list is that our picks don't have value because we don't draft well, I think it's a bit disingenuous. Several of the non-highlighted players were either hurt at the end of last year, did contribute regularly to super bowl winning teams before moving on, or have to be considered good picks even though we ultimately traded them away (Garrapolo). If the only measure of draft success is how many of your original picks end up on a super bowl gameday roster at season's end, most teams are going to look like they have a ridiculously low hit rate.

We spent a lot last year and as a result we do not have much cap room.

Remember this massive haul of studs? I know it was ancient history, many many moons ago, but if you legitimately think that Shelton and Jason McCourty aren't at least as valuable as the Sheard/Chandler haul, I plan on laughing some more.

Free Agents Signed/Lost: 2015

Agree with the post above - you need to break that down.. I count a half-dozen who were on IR, others who had a great rookie contract with NE then got too expensive, and others who were traded.

EDIT: That said, I think they're going to sign one soon, probably a fairly significant pick-up, since we've got 5 comp returns but can only use 4.

I think BB is kicking a lot of tires right now to try to find the best value.

My soon to be teen daughter could break it down for you. When you're at the mall for 3 hours with friends and only have $40.00 to spend...you don't blow it all in the first 30 minutes.

You should be proud of your daughter. When I was a teen the $40 would go to a couple dime bags and auntie Anne's pretzels. $ gone prior to/immediately upon arrival.

the cuts after the draft probably will have more value.

the deal is that you have a really lousy memory. Someone posted a few days ago a list of how long the team has taken to sign free agents.

And just BTW, not counting McCourty is sort of silly.
