Might as well use this again while it's part of my copy and paste.
There will be more than a few capable of replacing him in this draft.

Just goes to show how many bozos on this board have no clue about how to evaluate players. Bademosi always was an elite ST player and showed that he can actually play competently at CB. One of the best tacklers in our team.

But the clownshow rather prefers to make fun of the one tackle he was not able to make. Whatever.. money talks.. obviously too much for us but this opens up one of the comp spots now for a signing since you can only get a max of 4 comp picks and Bademosi projects to be a 6th with Lewis and Amendola the same. (+ Butler & Solder with 3rd round comps).
The guy's a JAG who couldn't make an open field tackle on a player with the flu in the Super Bowl.

He won't be missed. Cry some more.

I really liked him, will miss him. When Gilmore was out, he played really well as CB. Yes everyone focuses on that one play in the SB, as if that lost us the game, but gimme a break people.

Eh, he was essentially a warm body to man the position in the event of injury. Given how Belichick likes ST specialists that can also come in and play in a pinch, if Bademosi was even anywhere near worth his weight in salt, I don't see why he wouldn't have been brought back. The guy can easily be upgraded.

Tell me about it Cypress Jones might be an Upgrade...and I said might.:D

At $3M a year, Bademosi is being paid to play some corner, not as a top special teamer and emergency corner.

Only the patriots pay more than $2M for STO players. We choose to pay to have arguably the best special teams in the NFL\, year after year.

Marsh, Bademosi, Flowers and Grigsby (Lee?) were all brought in as special teamers.

You seem to be forgetting that the Texans had one of the worst overall ST units in the NFL last season. The overpay is understandable in that regard.

FWIW, he's on the border, but I'm guessing a high 7 is more likely (OTC predicts $3M is a 7 while $3.25M is a 6), especially if there are incentives.

The worst part about losing Bademosi is that we gave up a draft pick
to get him. Based on his new contract, we may also lose Slater.

Bademosi helped the Patriots win 3 games in Gilmore's absence which helped secure the $1 seed instead of the #2 or #3. Would the Patriots have won the AFC Championship game if it was in Jacksonville instead? I think that's worth a late draft pick - especially when they may wind up returning a 6th/7th rounder in 2019 for him.

Wes Welker had a great body of work for the Patriots, yet some people still won't "forgive" him for the drop in SB 46. Bademosi was not bad until that awful play in the SB; if some people can't get over Welker and look at his entire career with the Pats, I certainly would never expect them to get over Bademosi.

These players can ***** all they want about the locker room and how ****ty it is to play in New England (not specifically Bademosi) but one thing is for sure. You go to New England and just do your job, your ass is gettin’ paid!!

Truth. Ayers, Casillas, Hicks, Bademosi...

If I was coming off my rookie deal and believed I could do bigger things, I'd go 1-2 years in New England without a second thought. I'll get better at football with that coaching staff, get plenty of exposure in the playoffs, and GET PAID.

And not only can you get paid, but if you're Revis, you can get the Jets bidding against themselves.

What a horrible, miserable, unlikable post.

He was a jag replacement until teams watched film on him and figured out he really couldn’t play man. He’s a good special teams player, but the Pats have other guys who can do that better.

Are you really comparing Jonathan Bademosi to Wes Walker? Really?
