Dolphins snatching Amendola

With all the other stuff we’ve been hearing (Giselle saying the last 2 years have been tough for Tom, he just wants to be appreciated and have fun; Currens piece on Gronk not having fun last year) it does raise an eyebrow to see Gronk highlight FREE and FUN.

As an aside, this clears a minor logjam at WR. While things can certainly change, this sets the 5 man corps.

I have enjoyed watching Danny Amendola as much as anyone on the Patriots. I wish him the best. This is one of those deals where you let a guy go before he's too old to do you much good. The Dolphins have a great locker room guy who has an awful lot of hits and miles on that body. Same goes for Deon Lewis. Ball carriers and over the middle receivers have a short half life.

I agree with you that this is a good move to make room for other receivers. Dorsett got skills but couldn't find many reps. I imagine two or three younger guys will sign with the Pats before camp to compete for a spot.

I'm the Minority here but I say trade him and sign Tyler Eifert he's been way disrespectful to the Patriots lately and like it or not Bill is our leader.
If he was a employee at any other job he'd be fired or transferred.
Now I want them to sit down shoot the **** and fix this but if not I say trade him.
I want players thankful to be here.
He clearly is not anymore and it's not just about money

It’s a 2 way street though. It’s not only Gronk. Giselle publicly just stated that the last 2 years have been tough for Brady and that he wants to feel appreciated and have fun. Should we trade Brady also?

It’s Bill’s team, but it’s pretty clear it wasn’t a great environment the last year or so. Bill had to be accountable for that also. I think the key people Kraft/Bill/Brady need to sit down and clear the air.

First off, good for Dola. Didn’t think the Patriots would pay him that kind of money, but pleased for him that another team did.

Also, given Dola leaving for the $’s and all the rumours surrounding Gronk and Brady and how long they’ll keep playing for, wonder if Edelman regrets signing his extension last year. He must be wondering what the heck happened in the year he was out....

I agree 100 percent. if you're not happy going to the super bowl 3 out of 4 years then that's a problem with the player. not the team. trade him to the browns or some other ****ty team. then he will realize how good he's had it. let him get injured all the time for some other team.

Sitting here listening to this....damn I'm gonna miss this dude. Some of the most clutch hands I have ever seen! Played like a Patriot through and through.
