I’m sick of this!

There is literally going to be no one left as a Free Agent when Free Agency officially starts in an hour and 14 minutes!
Exactly how krafty Bob likes it; bargain basement, good stuff cheap, bldg 19 3/4 !

The pats are simply not competitive in their offers with everyone they are losing out on. They have a number and stick to it and another team comes along and pays more.
Sure is a really helpful formula when your 40 year old GOAT QB literally has to drag your team to the SB, only to lose because ST players are starting on defense.

There’s a hard cap lol. He spends close to the cap every season.

This is a strange year, because of so many teams having an enormous amount of cap space and the need to use it (financial floor rules of the CBA). Really, the Patriots are still fine. Yes, they need to figure out who'll be playing LT, and they let their starting RB go when the money for him shouldn't have been a problem, but free agency hasn't even actually started yet.

Over Trent Murphy? He's supposedly missing the first 4 games because of a PED suspension. Also not sure he's worth $7m per.

Bill has always been a stubborn person - in coaching and in GMing. He makes a decision and sticks to it no matter what.

James white was nowhere to be found in this year's playoffs on big 3d downs...it was amendola or gronkowski

Because Brady had Amendola and Gronk, White was not used much. That doesn't mean that White isn't a very good 3rd down choice. This year it may be Gronk and Edelman. White is still a good choice as a 3rd down RB option.

I think it sticks out this year because of Brady’s age now. There’s not much time left. Not a good time for a “sit on your hands” off-season.

I would like to remind everyone of a few things.
-Just because a player is linked to the Patriots doesn’t mean the Patriots are actually involved in trying to sign the player.
-Not every player that signs with another team after being offered a contract by us os declining because our offer stinks. Sometimes (get ready for this) some players just don’t want to play for New England!
-We have nearly 6 mo’s to let this team develop. Look at honey badger as an example. How many other high caliber players are going to hit the market by the time the season starts?
-It’s okay to freak out, but at least wait until mini camp to start making an ass of yourself in front of everyone. I’ve been there and done that. Learn from my mistakes.

He already served his 4 games last year. Time in IR counts. It does make me skeptical about his 2016 numbers, however.

That was affordable..

Sure, NO got an affordable deal for them.

Oh, you think that he wanted to play for the patriots for the same money?

He went home to a comfortable environment for a fine contract. We haven't a clue what it would take for him to play in New England.

that got shredded by a back up QB in the Superbowl, who nearly lost to Blake Bortles, who go wrecked by Alex Smith, who let Cam Newton drive down the field and beat them...

The fact that you think the issue is with McCourty and not with players like Richards and Rowe as well as the lack of quality LBs behind HT (who could have predicted that they'd lose 3 LBs to injury) speaks volumes about you, FTW.
