Good riddance on that one. Guys a nice player. But he’s not a great left tackle. I hope Nelson falls out of the top 10 and we trade up and get him

Not to worry, according to the seasoned/veteran hardcore geniuses here, everything is going according to Belichick's plan, who by the way, can do no wrong....

You mean like Benching his Second Best CB in the Biggest game of the year??

Correction from Yates. Glad to get some sense back..

He played well down the stretch. He's above average. He's not great but he does a decent job. Idk how the giants have this money when they invested all their resources on defense. They have to pay Beckham big money as well.

I'm excited to see how all of these people that are complaining about BB not doing anything, are able to squeeze in Soldiers 15mil a year, Dion lewis 6+ a year, butlers 11 a year. with our only 20 mil in cap space and still a bunch of holes that need filling

"waaaaah waaaaah BB isn't signing anyone WAHHHHHH"

patriot free agents are getting PAAAAAAAID this year, and rightfully so, almost every single one has at least 2 rings.

Well with whateva money they have I hope they sign some defensive players. I expect now tackle to be addressed at 31. Maybe a Kolten Miller if he's there.

Well they cashed in on the name. BB's benching of butler didn't stop him from getting paid. Those holes can be addressed in the draft. I expect to lose butler.. I thought they would resign one of these key guys but nope! They're all gone.

Wonder how many of those whiners are the same bozos who called Solder useless and and unacceptable LT in the first half of the season. Called for Butlers head before halftime of the first Jets game and wanted Dola + Dion cut or moved last year in camp.

Solder was never useless... but I never thought he was great. I’m glad they passed on that contract

I certainly hope there's another shoe to drop here, like the Moss trade and Welker signing or the dillon trade...cuz if not, this team is worlds worse than the team that got blown off the field at the super bowl and needed a miracle come back to beat Blake bortles...

Solder is the only one who can be described as a key player. Dola was clutch but only in the position he was because of injury issues around everyone else, Butler had anything but a good season relative to 2016 or 2015 and Lewis is just a RB in a passing league. I will miss all of them but lets be realistic here.. the only key player gone is Solder.

This really sucks right now.

We need to sure up both lines, and keep Brady from dying. I am sorry, but In Cannon I Do Not Trust.

We’ve resigned Brandon Bolden, Brandon King, and Nate Ebner.

We’ve lost Amendola, Lewis, Butler, and Solder. And meanwhile Gronk is considering retirement.

A+ offseason Bill, really taking advantage of Brady’s remaining window.
Don't forget offering a contract to a backup QB. Likely $5-8M per year.

They should be going all-in (*mostly. some obvious limits) with Brady in his waning years. No QB will ever step foot in New England again, let alone the NFL, with a higher degree of clutch ability and overall greatness that gives a team a better chance at winning a Super Bowl each year. You've got to make the most of it. Get that 6th Super Bowl. If that means finishing bottom 5 for a year after Brady retires, then so be it. Use that valuable draft pick as the next building block for a QB.

Also, if they don’t make any moves pre-draft, BB needs to hit a home run on EVERY draft pick this year for the Pats to even be competitive in the AFC. Every team got better except the Phins.

Where exactly are we spending the money again?
Serious question, i have no clue.

There has been absolutely nothing on the Sheldon Richardson front. Had a nice season for seattle last year.

Jets put him in a position to fail in 2016 so throw that out.

I’d kick the tires

They will still win the AFC east but it will be a different team for sure. It's hard getting back there when you lose the super bowl and brady will be a year older. Interesting to see what they do in the draft now.
