Edelman - injury prone
Hogan - good
Mitchell - injury prone
Lots to be excited about
You are the straw that stirs the Patsfans.com drink. But, we'll find a way to slog forward, even without your stamp of approval.
Oh god, Deus vs FCB I seriously have no idea who to root for.
It's time for another round of drinks and please pass the popcorn
That closed the deal!Heard they also got him a real garage, not some crappy carport. Sealed the deal.
Better be for a ton of money.
Thus made me happyPurely on the field, it won't affect us that much. Edelman will come back guns blazing with 13 months to rehab. Cooks, Edelman & Hogan is one of the best WR trios in the league while we have Mitchell/Dorsett hopefully to provide depth.
Intangibles wise, I don't like this one bit.
I expected to lose Dola. We only paid him 1.7 million last year and he took a hair cut the last few seasons. We are stacked at WR and weren't going to give him $$$$. If all of our WR's are healthy next year...Dola might not even be active on game days....Cooks, Mitchell, Hogan, Dorsett, Edelman, Britt, and Slater...
That being said...THANK YOU, Dola! Great time in NE....two Superbowls....and clutch play-off performances....
Amendola outside of the playoffs is a 4th or 5th option and not worth any significant money.
He's as clutch as they come in the playoffs but they aren't going to pay a guy based on a handful of games a year.
His track record as a full time player is his body can't handle it and he gets hurt which is why he's not used much during the regular season and his body will struggle to hold up as a Landry replacement in Miami.
Would rather have Dola
The days of guys taking below market deals to stay or sign w the pats are over
Troy Brown was a little more clutch. Most clutch receiver I can recall, time after time.
Yeah for the first time since 2008 & 2001 before that..Never play in the post season? They did about 15 months ago. Does this writer even follow the NFL?
But wouldn't a carport be preferable in southern Florida? What I'm wondering is where @Patjew will be lurking now. (Do you have family in Miami, PJ?)Heard they also got him a real garage, not some crappy carport. Sealed the deal.
Amendola was not our “best” receiver. It was cooks and/or edelman and Hogan is above him on the depth chart.
