Hard to blame Dola for cashing in. If he is gone I wish him good health because we already know he isn't going to have much success there.

Amendola outside of the playoffs is a 4th or 5th option and not worth any significant money.

He's as clutch as they come in the playoffs but they aren't going to pay a guy based on a handful of games a year.

His track record as a full time player is his body can't handle it and he gets hurt which is why he's not used much during the regular season and his body will struggle to hold up as a Landry replacement in Miami.

Amendola got a lot out of his time in NE - a big check to start, 2 rings and a ton of exposure. He did fine for himself here (plus Olivia). It was time. Our defense needs the money.

Sad to see Dola go. He made some big plays for us. But if he signed for an AAV of 5 mil or higher. I can see why we let him go. I will be interested to see the numbers.

Hopefully Jules is back to his old self this year.

While it's said to see Danny leave, I trust BB to field a good team come September. We are consistently making playoffs for crying out loud. We made it to 3 of last 4 super bowls and 2won of them. Teams that pay big bucks to most often don't have a good coach or lack talent in other positions. BB has has success balancing the team.

I hope this is fake news, but if it's indeed true, thanks for the memories Amendola !!!

He signed revis in Match and that worked out pretty well. Patriots have a ton of problem spots and I'm not confident BB is a good enough drafter to address it.

Damn man. Losing Dola hurts a lot. Maybe not overall stats, but as a fan....my fan soul hurts. Losing him to a rival like the Dolphins though? Holy **** that’s a kick to the nuts!

I will always be an Amendola fan (except when he plays us). Such a clutch player, one of the most clutch Pats in the last 10 years. Gonna miss him big time. This one hurts, but he deserves a big payday. Maybe the next Dola is in the 2018 Draft, but will take years to become as clutch.
