Which RB would you want here? We should be able to find a #1 RB at that spot. Find a solid RB will be the best way to keep Brady clean and prolong his career.

I like Derrius Guice out of LSU. Runs hard and loves to lower the shoulder.

Sony Michel would exploit holes. Defenses wouldnt be able to just focus on Gronk and Cooks with this guy on the field.

Of the 2 as far as running style I prefer Michel. Just wish Georgia threw the ball more so we had a good indication of how he catches out of the backfield.

Not sure we'd have to take him so high but I like Royce Freeman I know, PAC 12 but his 6.90 three cone at 229 pounds is nice. Not sure about his blocking but he can catch and run. Think we could get him in the 3rd round though.

With Gillisslee and White, I would draft a RB later and get defense with the top three picks with the exception of using one on a QB if the right one is there.

In my opinion the first rd pick and both 2nd rders should be spent on defense. Maybe a LT. Not skill positions on offense.

If you watch the Alabama - lsu game, there are several times that Guice ran over Evans in the hole. His power is legit. He was a beast that day. Too bad LSU has such terrible qb play. I think we would have gotten to see more of Guice if the qb wasn’t worthless.

I imagine guice is going to love running behind cannon and mason as he seems to be the ideal power back to follow them. (Hopefully cannon is healthy. I have not heard anything about him since he went down and I know high ankle sprains last a long time.)

I would love them to double dip. Use our #63 and #522 ... They can easily get guys like Chubb/Michel/Guice and a sleeper like Mark Whalton. They will recoup a 5th for Lewis and get younger and cheaper at a needed position.

#31 and #43 will depend. If they resign Solder. They can use #31 on a LB and #43 on a DE. If they let him go, they can bring a solid LB like Bradham and a solid CB like DRC and use #31 on a OT and #43 on a DE. All alternatives are good. Both Bradham and DRC don't count for comp picks. So they will probably get a 3rd and 4th for Solder and Butler and the price will be the same.

1a. Solder + LB + DE

1b. Bradham + DRC + OT + DE

Hoping there’s a relatively unknown safety from a small school available at that pick.

I loathe the idea of Lewis going to San Fran. I dislike the idea of drafting a runner

It's a good year to need a running back. Barkley is the high-end talent but there will be lots of guys with 1st round type grades who go later because of how the position is (rightly) valued.

At that pick you'll have a choice between thunder and lightning. You've got Guice, who punishes tackles, and Ronald Jones, a Jamaal Charles slasher who never fumbles and can pass protect and catch the ball, even if he wasn't used that much at it in college.

Rashaad Penny is basically a bigger Dion Lewis who should be there in the late 2nd or 3rd.

Having Lewis back would be fantastic, but if he commands that much money, I’d let him go. I know $5M isn’t a lot to pay for a talent like his, but I’m just tired of watching this team pay these guys only to see them get hurt and spend so much time on the sidelines. I’m also not a big fan of the info being leaked that he was unhappy with his role and how often he was used. Seems like a way to try and drive up your value to other teams to me. If you didn’t get hurt all of the time, they wouldn’t manage your carries so much man.

Except for Slo-Mo, RBs the Pats draft usually need a year or two before really getting going. I guess I'd want to get Brady a first down back in FA.
