Can he rush the passer? :D
He could have probably done a better job of it than anyone the Pats fielded in the Super Bowl. So there’s that.

Cause you get laid alot in high school.
Or so I’ve heard.....

How about MIN RB Jerick McKinnon or JAX RB Corey Grant?

Update:

Uh oh, maybe not...

It's clear McKinnon seeks a more permanent feature role, telling reporters: "I want to be the guy. I don't put in all the work in the offseason to come back and be in this role. I appreciate the role. It worked out well, but I want bigger and better things for myself."

Murray doesn’t really have much of an injury history.

First bolster our OL then think about RB additions. I'm fine with White, Gillislee and Burkhead of course. Some additional help from draft will be welcome as well. I am not sure of Murray. He always played behind great Cowboys and Titans OL. Not questioning his skillls and abilities but I am following the idea of taking someone younger and cheaper. This year and next will be crucial in the context of our key players and their contracts. That is way save the money - it will be needed.

That would be a mess of a backfield, even if Burkhead could stay healthy. White took a step back last year. He and Burkead are both third down, pass catching backs and Gillislee was so awful he couldn't even get on the field and was relatively useless in third or fourth and short situations. He and Josh almost singlehandedly cost us the KC game at the beginning of the year.

White took step back in a consequence of taking most of his offensive duties by Lewis.Appearance of Burkhead did not help him bolster his team position as well. Watching Burkhead I strongly believe he might be a full time RB. Let's take a rookie RB and our offense will be fine. I agree Lewis is very competitive and productive but obviously we can't afford to keep him. My point is I can see many other holes in our roster than RB position. Our weakness was not offense but unreliable defense.

Yes and no.

White ended the regular season with more snaps/game-active than either Lewis or Burkhead, but the fewest touches per game This means that he was used more than the other two in pass-pro (also a key "offensive duty" for an RB, where White is the best of the three) and also as a decoy on run-fakes.

Even so, White had as many passing tgts/game active as Lewis and Burkhead combined, while Lewis got more carries/game-active than White and Burkhead combined.

So, it wasn't so much that White "took a step back" as it was roles being shifted around as Lewis became the hot hand running the ball starting in week-6.

Also, rookie RBs tend to be far less reliable in the Pats offensive system than RBs with NFL experience. So, if the Pats can pick up someone like Murray or McKinnon to fill Lewis' spot (both of whom have shown that they can be productive rushing and receiving at the NFL level) for a 2018 cap hit of $2M-$3M, that's a "win". And it leaves that pick available to spend on another defender.

Michel and Chubb have high fumble rates and Johnson has dealt with injuries. Out of the three, I’d take Michel. I think he’d be a beast in this offense.
I agree on Sony...he reminds me a great deal of Kevin Faulk...who also was a “fumbler” early on.

Murray and Jonathan Stewart are both visiting the Lions today.
